I'm so glad that I can't eat white bread......two bites of it and I feel like I'm choking.........it doesn't matter how small the bites are. I can eat about a 1/4 of an English Muffin toasted real hard. I've never eaten much salt.......Have you mentioned this craving to your doctor?

Try Subbing Triscuits for the Saltines and whole wheat for white. But the best way to get away from them is go on a liquid diet for two days. It's hard, believe me, at this point. But once you do, then you don't crave them. I limit my carbs to oatmeal, low carb tortillas, part of a sweet potato, whole grain bread, or pretzel. And never past 2pm. That gives them time to burn out of my system. I am not losing anything, but not gaining. And for that, I'm grateful.
