Hi Dec. Post ops. I was wondering Is anyone else falling back into a "Ok, I'll start my diet again on Monday routine?" I've been finding myself "treating" myself on the weekends and then that old I'll be good on Monday focus kicks in.. I would like to lose 25 more pounds and feel like I havent used this surgery to take it the whole 9 yards.. I even thought about joining Weigh****chers with a friend of mine... It feels like an old pattern and it's troubling me a little.. anyone else having these thoughts ? Enjoy your Sunday Elaine

I feel like I'm falling into old habits again but not really for the same reason. I weigh 118 which for a 5'5" frame is pretty thin and about 10 pounds below my surgeon's goal. I don't want to lose anymore, so I've been adding more fruit to my diet.....like a banana or orange or 1/2 apple. I can eat 1/2 a small pancake and a sugar free peanut butter wafer cookie now and then. Before WLS, carbs were my downfall......I'm scared of old habits. LuvitsunnyVB~lo/goal

Here I am. Yep, doing just that. I can eat sugar now with no problem. So I have been. I guess so much stress leads one to bad habits, at least it does me. I've gained about 3lbs and can't get it off, but I'm not eating right or exercising. I just can't find the time to exercise. I work 12 hrs, 4 days a week, then on Friday's it's errands, shopping and my daughter's needs. Saturday, its cleaning and housework. Sunday, it's finish cleaning, cooking for the week and my daughter. I am on the go from 7 to 9 all weekend and am totally exhaused. I spent this past weekend, though, on the couch, ill with FM, doped up on Vicodin. Not a pleasant weekend. Still no excuse for eating icecream and chocolate. Nona

Elaine~ I am guilty of the ole' "Monday I'll get back on track" thing too. I know exactly how you feel. I've never had any problems with sugars from the start, so I've always had to be careful. When I get a sweet tooth I buy the sugar free candies, they sell most everywhere. I find I am much hungrier these days and can definetely eat much more than before...least I feel like it's much more. I have started jogging to compensate for the added calories though. I have not lost a pound in the last month...which is my first month since surgery of having no loss. I am 20 lbs. away from my goal and am afraid the window is going to slam shut soon. Try not to beat yourself up over this, remember we are all on this journey together. Thank you for sharing, I thought I was the only one who's been back sliding. Take care, Diane 393/336/183/160ish
