Are you still loosing?
Hi there Karie,
How are you doing? I have not lost any weight since Novemeber. I started at 245lbs and have been bouncing between 132-135 lbs. I have lost -113 pds. I did get the name of a great Plastic Surgeon to go to for my PS. I would love to have that skin on my stomach removed. My insurance will cover that. I would love to do my breasts and my thighs but that will have to wait. I am very pleased to be at this weight of 132lbs and 5ft6. I am tall and slender now like I was when I was a young lady. I think if I get under 130lbs that will just too thin for me. Now that it is winter I am wearing layers of clothes to keep warm and still can wear a size 6.
Have a great day. We have so much snow here in NY I am going out to shovel now.
Have a great weekend.

I wish I really want to lose 10 or 15 more pounds, I am ashamed to say I have actually gained 10 pounds in the last month and I am not sure how, I know some of it's muscle, I have been exercising a lot but I know I have been taking in too many calories, around 1500 daily and I dont dump on sugar and have eaten way too may sweets with the holidays. My surgeon's office is having a meeting with the nutritionist for patients about a year out on the 27th to go over eating plans and to help people get back on track. I am a stay at home mom so it's hard for me, I have acsess to food all day and want to snack, I need to quit quick because obviously my metabolism isn't just slow, it's non existent! I haven't gone up a pants size, still in an 8, but they are definitely tighter and I refuse to have to buy anything bigger. I am not hungry I just have the head hunger and the boredom eating thing happening I really need to get myself under control. The one good thing is that I have been spending anywhere from 2-5 hours a day taking different exercise classes. I have tried Pilates, step aerobics, interval training, jazzercise, water aerobics, spinning, I liked all of them except the spinning, sitting on those hard bicycle seats is rough on the bottom area! Everyone please say a prayer for me, help me get the will power to get back on track I dont want to sabotage myself and ruin all the good things this surgery has done for me.
Thanks, Kelly
Kelly, Hi there!
How are you doing? I hope you are great. You are doing wonderful with your exercise. I hate it. Since my hernia surgery in September, I have not exercised. I do go for walks.
I think that meeting is great for post-ops after one year. I must look into one at my surgeons office. Food is such an obsession for me. I am sure we all battle with this.
Don"t buy any clothes larger. You will take off those few pounds. Just think of the long way we have come
Have a great weekend. Lorraine
Hi Karie,
I thought I was done losing, but then started again. I lost 2 1/2 in December, and so far 2 1/2 in January.
My goal was to get down to a size 12 (no particular weight), and I'm now in 8's and 10's. My trainer is worried that if I keep losing I may be losing lean body mass, so I guess it's time to up the protein again. It just seems so WRONG to be worried about losing too much weight.
Deb -142lbs
I'm pretty much hanging in at 116-118 which is well below my goal of 130 and the doc's goal of 134. I'll have to go back in to see him if I lose any more. So I am really hoping that I will maintain and stablize. I saw a PS on Monday and he suggested a lower body lift. He told me I had no fat % to speak of -- just skin that needed to be removed.
You guys have done well and I am pleased to share surgery renunions with you. Your words always encourage and inspire. It's good to have a group to share with.
Have a good evening.

Hi Karie,
For the last month or two I've been bouncing between 130 and 134. That's just fine with me. My goal weight was 128 and I still may get there. I haven't given up hope. My BMI is in the normal range, so I'm not gonna worry about it too much. I would really like to have some PS. My husband and I are trying to have a baby now and as soon as that goal is accomplished...I'm planning to have a lot of work done. My surgeon says I have about 10 pounds of skin. That's a lot of skin. Anyway, I'm so glad to hear that everyone is doing great! Hugs!
