Santa came early for me!
I am so excited. My plastic surgeon's office called today and moved my lower body lift to February 17 (from March 31). We're talking 8 weeks to a flat tummy and good bye to the excess skin. On April 6 I will have an arm lift and breast augmentation and on May 18 I will have a thigh lift. What an exciting and painful first half of 2005 it will be for me! Only 7 pounds to lose before February 17, hope I can do it.
Good luck to all, and happy holidays.

Congratulations on your dates, Kim!! I am scheduled for March 22, 2005...Oh, My Gosh, just 89 days away
February will be here before you know it and you will get those last few lbs off. Isn't it an awesome feeling to say "I want to loose 7lbs" instead of 100+++
Please let us know how everything goes. I will be thinking of you.
Happy Holidays!!! Kimberly 245/@goal 123
why so many separate surgeries??? can't they combine a few??? seems to me--if I have to HURT might as well get it over with all at once?!?!
Congrats....I hope you like your results!!! MUST take before and after photos (feel free to wear clothing of some sort if you like!!!!)
I am sooo thankful I don't have any problems with hanging skin. I may not love the way it all looks but I don't have any medical issues...so I would probably have to self pay everything IF I wanted to have anything done.
Hi Shannon. Unfortunately I am completely self pay as my insurance will not pay. (1) not enough excess skin even after losing 190 lbs and (2) I selected a doctor who is not within my plan. The reason for the 3 surgeries is that you cannot combine a LBL with a thigh, arm and breast lifts because your skin is being pulled in all directions and you will get a better result if you heal between surgeries to see how the skin ends up. The thighs may end up better after the LBL so less work may be needed with the inner thigh lift. In fact a lot of people don't need a thigh lift after a LBL because they are pulled so tight. I know I will need one because I have a lot of skin around my knees. The breasts may end up worse after the LBL because the skin is being pulled down. Every doctor does things differently but all the doctors I've been to definitely recommend separate surgeries for the best results. It's difficult to combine the arms with the LBL because you need the support of your arms while you are healing from the LBL. I will be hurting, a lot, but hopefully it will all be worth it. I'm excited for a flat tummy and thinner thighs! Take care.
