Need a good protein drink

Hi guys, I am in need of a good protein drink. My doctor never pushed the issue of protein drinks b/c he said to get it from food. Well, at almost 12 months post op and I still am losing hair. The major reason for hair lose is lack of protein. In the early stages I tried some protein drinks but they tasted like chalk! Please let me know what you are drinking and where you boughtb it. Hi there Karie, Here is the name of the best protein drink I have tried, I don't know if you have a Vitamin Shoppe near you. The name of this drink is called "BODY TECH"....(WHEY TECH) It is made with Splenda, I add one packet of sweetner. It is not thick like most of those drinks. I like the vanilla and the chocolate also. I add 8 oz water, ice cubes and shake. It takes awesome. It has 17 grm of protein and 100 calories. It is the best in my opinion. Good luck. I like the designer whey chocolate..not too expensive. I also add a tbsp of peanut butter to it and carb countdown milk. This is the first powder I actually like.

There are very few that I like, but I do love Protein Delight's Alpine Chocolate. It's kind of pricy, around $35.00 for a 2lb tub. You can get it at www.vitalady.com Also, add Biotin to your vitamins. I did, and my hair is growing again. You can buy it at Wal-Mart for around $5.00 for a three months supply. Nona

I use Pro-Rated from Cost Co Al-pine VAnilla or Bavarian Chocolate $19.95 for a 1lb tub & 44g protein for a 2 scoop 12 oz shake. very good does not taste bad at all. I freeze mixed berries or strawberries and portion out canned pineapple juice and freeze them in snack size baggies and then when I want to blend up a smoothie I do not need to add ice and it does not ge****ered down Good luck I found several good shakes in the book eat for life and lots of other good recipes. Hi Kari, The protein drink I use is Aria from WalMart or just about any store like target, rite aid, etc. It costs about $8.00 a can and lasts me for about 1 month 1 X a day and 2 weeks when drinking it 2 X a day. It comes in Chocolate and Vanilla and is the best tasting I have found so far- and believe me, I tried a bunch. I do however juice it up a little bit. Here is my concoction: 2 scoops Aria (chocolate) 1 tsp fat free/sugar free chocolate pudding OR 1 tblsp sugar free chocolate syrup Equal or Splenda to taste- I use about 3-4 packets, but I like mine sweetened pretty good. For the vanilla, I add any fat free/sugar free jello powder (like strawberry or peach, etc) and the splenda. I mix mine up in a blender or my wonderful Magic Bullet! It is so yummy! Hope this helps.
