Another Month; Another 13 lbs GONE!
Morning everyone!!
11-month anniversary TODAY!
Lost another 13 lbs this month bringing my total weight loss to 179 lbs. I weigh 168 lbs as of this morning. It was a tough month with Halloween candy and a few birthdays (ate a few pieces of cake and a few cupcakes) but I was able to offset it by exercising a lot and burning off those extra calories and it worked. I lost another 10 inches this month too. 2 inches from my hips, 2.5 inches from my waist, 2 inches from my bust, an inch from each thigh, 1/2 inch from each arm and 1/2 inch around my neck. I am in a size 10 pants/jeans and size 6-8 tops. I am only 9 lbs from reaching a normal BMI which I am hoping to do by my 1-year anniversary. I AM SO EXCITED!!
I continue to keep my calories under 1000 (usually 800-900 on average) and exercise a lot, at least 4-5 times a week at 2 hours each time then a lot of walking the other days. A lot of water too.
Have a great day everyone and happy anniversary to all 12/12 surgery folks!
I am so proud of you!!!! But it is hard not to be a little jealous, so I have to do it LOL! You are just doing amazing tho seriously, and what an inspiration you are........You eat normal, human, a couple bad things and still, you are doing wonderfully......gives me hope!!! I know I could be doing tons, tons better if I only exercised.....It is just so hard to start, and of course I have tons of excuses How did you start the exercising and what makes you stick with it? Do you go to the gym or workout at home? Take Care and give us some tips CONGRATS AGAIN Jesi
Hi Jesi. I was hesitant to post because I know a few people have struggled and I feel for them but on the other hand I want people to see the good results I have had, hoping it would help them out in the long run. Anyway, thanks so much for your kind words, they really mean a lot. Honestly, for me exercise is hard to get into and I still hate it but I know that it has to be a part of my life forever. I know that without exercise I will put the pounds back on and my body won't feel as good as it does. I have a lot of muscle which really looks good and I like it! I first started out at Curves at a few months post-op, stayed there for a few months and went religiously 4 times a week. I also did cardio work at my home. I have a LifeCycle and a NordicTrack Treadmill. I rode the bike about 30 minutes and then walked and did a light jog on the treadmill. As the pounds came off and it became easier to exercise, I joined a gym. I now go to the gym usually 4 sometimes 5 times a week. I do a lot of cardio work on the elliptical and then do the weight machines. I stay there for about 2 hours. I also still use my home treadmill about 2-3 times a week for 50 minutes to 60 minutes now. I also do a lot of walking. I have to force myself to exercise. I don't really like it but I love how I feel afterwards and it's really helped with my excess skin (still have a lot but I notice a difference). My advice is to start out slow. Get a few tapes or if you can afford it join a gym or the Y (a lot of gyms now have babysitting - that's where I put my daughter on my weekends so I can exercise!). Aerobics is great exercise too and you can do that in your home! Have a great day, and thanks again for your support.
Don't you dare feel bad for posting your wonderful success. You are an inspiration to me and had alot to do with how well I've been doing lately. Damn girl, I switched to slenda because of you, lol. Seriously, you've done a wonderful job staying very focused and committed to this surgery. Be proud! and never feel hesitant to post your successes.
Much love, best wishes, and a big fat THANK YOU!
Diane
Diana, thank you so much for your email. It was so sweet and definitely what I needed to hear. Thank you. I'm so happy that things are going well for you - I can't wait for you to get below 200. Now, that'll be a day for celebrating!! Have a great day, and thank you again for being so kind and supportive.
Hi there Kim, How are you? Congradulations to you on your anniversary and your excellent weight loss. I am up and down -2, or +2 I range between 133 lbs and 135lbs. I really don't want to lose anymore. I am happy. Your calorie intake is great and your exercise program seems good. I can't really exercise since the hernia surgery, I will resume soon.
Happy anniversary to you Kim..... Lorraine
Thanks for your support Lorraine! You're at a perfect weight, it's normal to fluctuate a few pounds so consider yourself normal!! I bet you will be happy to resume some light exercise once you heal completely from hernia surgery. I'm glad all of that is behind you now. Have a great day, and keep warm - it's cold out there!
