first real compliment from a stranger

Tonight my family and I were at the mall and my hubby had dropped my 5 kids and I off at the door so he could go park. We went in and were standing next to a bench with 2 older women sitting on it. One of them said looks like such a nice family 2 boys, 3 girls, I said thanks then she said well, you must have just gotten skinnier with each baby then she turned to her friend and said look how tiny she is after 5 babies, can you believe it, the other one said I was one of those lucky ones. I was just stunned I didn't know what to say, that's when my hubby walked up and we left and I just said it was nice talking to you ladies and left. I told my hubby what they said and he said he notices guys checking me out all the time, he's proud to be the one I go home with. Made me feel really good! Kelly

Kelly, Hi there and congradulations on your weight loss. You have done great. I am SO not used to being paid compliments its so hard to accept. Why was it before people would say to me "YOU HAVE SUCH A PRETTY FACE" You know what they meant. I have lost 110 pds and am also like you a size 8 and sometimes a 6 I feel bad that people judge you on how you look, especially men. UGH! I must get used to the new me. Our anniversary is coming up. the big 1 year Do something good and celebrate.... I am going to to. Congrats on your success! Isn't it just the best when people call you tiny!! The first time someone called me tiny I nearly fell over. In my mind I thought ohhhhhhhh if you only knew where I came from. I consider myself an old lady but the men checking me out has been such a flattering thing......it's ok to think that isn't it ?? as long as that is all we do.......THINK I've been married so long I didn't know how to take the first glances I got by guys.......now I just find it fun!

Isn't it great? My son and I (while looking for work) were at the mall. We ran into one of his old friends we have not seen in about a year or so. He did not recognize me and finally he said "Oh my god, if it wasn't for your tattoos I would not have even recognized you!" I was wondering why he had not said hello to me. It feels good to get compliments even if you have to reintroduce yourself, lol. Here's to more compliments we've all worked hard for em' Diane
