I am having a hard time with this right now...I had surgery on 12/10/2003 so as of today it has been 11 months. As of this morning, I weigh 160 lbs. When I had surgery I weighed in at 248. So, I have lost a total of 88 lbs. Which I think is truly amazing but my personal goal was to be at 140 - 145 by 12 months after surgery...any advise on how to start losing again. I am exercising, watching what I eat, etc. Should I increase the liquid protein? Thanks to everyone!!! javascript:setMainIcon('clown',15,15) javascript:setMainIcon('clown',15,15)

Many of us are in the same boat. Nothing seems to help. I am told by many just to keep on doing what you're doing and it will eventually come off again. But now it is going on 4 months and nothing is changing. I wish I could help you, but I am stuck at 200lbs, a 14-16. I would love to be where you are, but, well, here I am. You must be a 10-12. Or less, right? Just think to what you started at and look at where you are. Go go, girl and keep doing it and working the program for you. Nona

Thanks for your reply...I am a 12/14 mostly with a few 10's and an 8 every now and then so I can't complain...It's a huge change from the 22/24 that I was 11 months ago!!! I would do this a million times over!!!!

Your body is probably "comfortable" and at a plateau. Increasing activity, water and protein couldn't hurt. Can you believe we will be celebrating a year anniversary soon? Luvitsunnyv@goal

I can feel your pain! I started out at 225 and now ab 145. I wanted to be at 130 - 135 for my year anniversary but here I sit. I guess my body is quite happy at this weight and doesn't want to budge. Don't get me wrong, I am estatic at the 80 pounds gone but... Like everyone tells me, it will start to come off again - just slower. Good luck to ya! Rhonda

I totally understand! I am also at 160. I'll fluctuate under for a couple of days and then back to 160 again. I actually saw a plastic surgeon a couple weeks ago and he told me that I don't really need to lose any more weight, but if I just "want" to be smaller, I could lose another 10 pounds max. That made me feel better because I really couldn't get a grip on how much was skin, fat, etc. He said I have about 15 lbs of skin in the abdominal/hips/butt region alone. So, I figure if I lost to 150 and then had the 15 pounds of skin in that region removed, I'd be at 135. I've also heard that you can lose pretty easy after having a tummy tuck because you just don't want to eat for a while. I'm 5' 3 or 5'4...depending on who is measuring, so 135 would be ideal to me.

The more you excersise the more you should increase your protein. Fuel the firel.
