Did anyone watch Oprah?
Hi there guys, If I was not out of work I would have missed this great show Oprah had on today.
1)Did anyone watch it?
Yes I watched it.
2)What do you think about it?
I think it was amazing all the things she could not do because of her 550 lb size.
3)Wasn't it horrible to see the prison she lived in because of her morbid obestiy?
Once 9/11 came and the stores were closed around where she lived she could no longer get to any other stores WLS was then her option.
4)Were you emotional like me?
I cried and cried trying to imagine what it would be like not to see your family because she said when she hugged them, they would feel all the fat. She just hid herself away like a prison with all the shades closed.
Have a nice week everybody..... Lorraine
1)Did anyone watch it? Yes, I did!
2)What do you think about it? I think it is great how people have used this surgery as a tool to a better healthier life!
I3)Wasn't it horrible to see the prison she lived in because of her morbid obestiy? Yes, so many people live like this and never get the opportunity to live a full life.
.
4)Were you emotional like me? I loved what the plastic surgeon did for her. How great is it that a doctor uses his "gift" of surgery that he was blessed with to make a difference in someones life. Awesome, to see people work in that way!
Now...I am always amazed how people view WLS...either its is easy for them or they say it was HELL. Personally, it has been easy for me as recovery but I still fear the weight will come back me.
Take care...can you believe its almost 1 year for us?!

Staci, The show was about a woman who weighed 550 lbs. Oprah followed her for 10 years. After 9/11 she could not get out to the stores. She lived in the area of the Towers. Once she could not shop she decided to have WLS. She was a prisoner in her own home. She lost 300lbs and had many surgeries to cut away all the fat that was hanging.
As soon as she was able to get on a plane she came to the show.
She addressed alot of issues. She could not recognize and begin to love the NEW GIRL.That sounds like me.She did not see her family for the fear of when they hugged her they would feel all the fat she had.The show was amazing, she discussed her constant battle to not go back to the old habits.
Staci, I wish I had the tape, I would send it to you. Maybe you can find someone who taped it.
Have a great day........ Lorraine
