WHAT'S THE BEST COMPLIMENT YOU RECEIVED?
QUESTION OF THE DAY - WHAT'S THE BEST COMPLIMENT YOU HAVE RECEIVED SO FAR ??
Even though people around me are getting used to the "new" me, I still receive compliments almost daily. This weekend my doorman told me "Wow, Ms. XXXX, you are so skinny". OH MY GOD - HE THINKS I'M SKINNY! Well my now 177 pound body is skinny compared to my old 347 pound body so I guess he is right in a way. This morning a porter in the building told me that I am "wasting away"! Now I'm not sure whether that's a compliment or not but I'm taking it as one! When I got off the plane to see my parents in September they didn't recognize me and walked right past me - I think that's the ultimate compliment!
Have a great day everyone.

During a romantic moment, my DH said," God, I love the way you feel, soft and boney". Yup, boney. I know he meant that in a good way, so I just chuckled. He actually counted my ribs when I was stretching before working out on my weights. NEat, huh?
My hubby has always paid me compliments. But the one he gave me a few months ago was the best one. We had gone out on the town and was on our way home and he looked over at me (I was doing the driving) and said..."You know that you were the best looking woman in the place and I am glad that you are going home with me". I just wanted to cry. And the second best was when I was getting out of the shower he said..."Damn baby you are getting your a** back". I cracked up. He can be so funny at times. Men! You just gotta love em.
Have a good Monday!

Hi there Kim,
QUESTION OF THE DAY - WHAT'S THE BEST COMPLIMENT YOU HAVE RECEIVED SO FAR ??
I have received so many compliments from people that really care and some who don't know a nice way to say it. My neice said "Aunt Lorraine, your hiney is so small now" You know kids can't really lie well so I know this is how she sees me. I thought it was so cute the way she said. it. People can be so funny, when it comes to weight loss. Some are just not nice enough to pay a compliment.
Have a great day.....Lorraine
What a hard question.....I recieve a lot too, but I think the ones I like best are from those I don't see so often.....My parents and hubby always tell me how good I am doing.....But my uncle who I don't see often or the gals at the bingo hall that I don't see often.....just their shock and loss for words make me really feel good! Saturday at bingo, an older gal who I hadn't seen in a couple months.....said something to the fact that I am really melting away and look wonderful, that she had noticed I was losing for awhile, but lately I am just looking really good!! I like those kinda compliments a lot!!! I also agree with Lorraine....the ones from the kids are great too......Like when my kids get so excited that their little arms wrap around me now! Or when my one of my twins squels in delight that I can fit in her bed with her......she has a twin size bed and I could never fit in it with her before......those kind of things make my heart melt Great question!!! JEsi
Yes, I agree with the shock and loss of words - you can't help but to giggle and it makes you feel really good inside! I love cuddling with my daughter in her bed, also a twin size. Before surgery I couldn't even fit in a twin size bed! What about mirrors and looking at yourself in a reflection? I NEVER did that before surgery. I avoided mirrors and reflections like the plague! Now, I look at myself all the time and just can't believe what is looking back at me! Have a great day, and cherish those compliments and those lovely children.
This morning I got my mail and had two packages. When I opened it I almost cried it was a trophy from ObesityHelp.com it says: “Outstanding HTML Volunteer * obesityhelp.com" then with that I got two pens w/ obesityhelp.com logos and a few pads of obesity help paper. I also got a pin that says "WLS obesityhelp.com" It felt so good to get that gift. I felt like a little kid!! I then opened the other package and enclosed was an OH magazine and Making the journey together book. And then an award Certificate of Appreciation from OH. It was wonderful. It made me feel just great. I am placing my trophy on my PC and the certificate on the wall so I can see it everyday. When I am able to begin volunteering again I hope soon it will be an inspiration of why I am doing what I am doing. It is also to remind me that I have to stay focus. Thank you everyone for your help. Thank You Obesity Help for recognizing me. It was the best gift I have gotten.
