Have you heard about AOA?

I came across the American Obesity Association while doing some internet research. Not to be stuip but I never heard of this group...imagine that I was obese? Any how it has some amazing reading on it. It talked how Flordia Blue Cross and Blue Shiled is taking off gastric bypass as a benefit starting January 1, 2005. It amazing me how insursers etc think obesity is not a disease...I mean who actually wants to have all the realated problems? Just thougth I would share with my friends...Karie

Never heard of it either and I've been obese for almost 1/3 of my life! Well, I actually convinced myself I was just a "little heavy" for that last 12 years until I found out right before surgery that my BMI of over 50 put me at Super Obese!! Who was I kidding?? Thanks for sharing.
