Yep I'm Still Here and Staying the Same
Hello Everyone, It's been forever since I've posted anything. DH and I went to Myrtle Beach for 5 days (by ourselves-no kids) and we had a great time. Things have been very hectic both at home and work. But I did want to say that I haven't lost anything in a couple of months. I've done the same thing, upped this, lowered that, but nothing seems to work. I go back to my surgeon next Tuesday and see what he says. I've been having female problems and found out that I have 5-6 fybrous tumors, I had a D&C in August to help with the excess bleeding but now my periods are coming every 3 weeks or so (before it was every 4 weeks). Would any of that have anything to do with me not losing the weight? Anyway, hope everyone is doing well and I will try to get on here more often. God bless you all!
Jill
Hi Jill. I'm sorry to hear about the fybrous tumors. I'm sure with your period coming every 3 weeks or so that would certainly hinder your weight loss. I hope the doctor can help you more on Tuesday.
Sounds like a lovely vacation with your DH!! It must have been so relaxing!
Hang in there re your weight loss. I'm sure it will pick up again soon. We are so not done yet and our bodies just need a chance to catch up and breathe. As long as you are doing everything right, exercise, low-calories, no snacking, etc. the weight loss will start up again.
Have a great day.

Hi Kim, I keep telling myself the same thing over and over and over again. Just keep up what you're doing and eventually it will have to start going down again. I need to have a hysterectomy but I wanted to lose my last 50 pounds first. I think I'm beginning to wonder if I have to have the hysterectomy first before I'll start losing again. That's why I need to talk to my surgeon. Hopefully he should know... Thank you so much for your support.

I really think it has more to do with the time frame.....it semms like a lot of us are in the exact same boat right now.....I had been at a stand still for a couple months to....well I would gain and lose the same 2-3 pounds....it was so frustrating!!! We have all done so well, getting farther out, and closer to goal......time to slow WAY down I guess....My surgeon reccomended kickin up exercise! I too had major cysts and fibroids.....I would bleed for months on end......quit for two weeks then start again for another couple months......I finally got a hysterectomy a couple weeks ago, and I am feeling fab!!! I had a D&C also with no relief and I wasn't a candidate for ablation because I have a very thing uterine wall.......anyways the hysterectomy did jump start my weightloss again, not so much the period stopping, but by being on a liquid diet for a couple days really reset my pouch.....I was up to almost 1 cup of food per meal.....I am back down to 1/4-1/2 cup at most now. I am amazed yet again!!! Best of luck to you, just know most of us have been dealing with the very same thing!!!! Take Care Jesi
Hi Jesi! I did have the ablation done and it helped with the bleeding but I still have a lot of cramping and now my periods are more frequent. I do believe that part of the lack of weight loss is the whole "where I am" thing. A lot of people seem to be in the same boat so I'm not really stressing over it too much. My surgeon said the same thing about exercise. He said low impact aerobics should help, then again I had that hernia which put me out of the exercising business for awhile. Thank you for your support. I'm glad that you are feeling better.
