HI Christy, I probably eat the most of anyone here. So I don't know if my choices are the best. We have a 'fridge at work, so I can bring whatever I need, but if you don't have one, you'll need things that don't need refridgeration, like protein bars, soy nuts/chips, dried meat/veggies/fruit. Nona

For me it varies from day to day.......I was up to almost a cup of food at each meal.....On the 7th of this month I had a hysterectomy and was on liquids for a couple days....anyways, that kinda reset my pouch and now I am back to 1/4-1/2 cup food at most! I am loving feeling so full again on such little quanities of food......I reccomend going back to liquids for a few days to reset your pouch, it worked great for me! Anyways for snack ideas for school......how about an apple with some peanut butter for dipping? String cheese sticks......nuts, salads, anything really! God luck with school! Take Care and have a Great day Jesi

Hi Christy. I eat anywhere from 700-900 calories a day. I really try not to exceed 900 calories and most days I stay below 800. If I give in to head hunger well I'm sure I can eat a lot but I try to keep head hunger in check and eat/drink 3 square meals a day. I usually have 1 protein shake and 2 meals or 2 protein shakes and 1 meal. For breakfast I always have a protein shake, for lunch a protein shake or rolled up ham or turkey, tuna salad, egg salad (all with no bread) then for dinner I usually have shrimp or chicken or chicken broth with melted cheese. For lunch at school, make some tuna salad or egg salad or chicken salad the night before and put it in those little 4oz containers. Or you can take some rolled up lunch meat. Or if you are at goal and want to add some bread (and if you pouch is okay with it), make yourself a 1/2 a sandwich on whole wheat bread. Can you eat a good breakfast and then have a protein drink for lunch? Good luck in school. Kim 347/181/???

Hi Christy I guess the amount of what I eat depends on what it is. My favorite breakfast is LF cottage cheese, SF jello and mandarin oranges. At about 4 months post op I was eating 1/2 of each of the 4 oz. containers. I can now eat the full 4 oz. containers of each. When it comes to more dense protein like, poultry, beef, and fish very little fills me up. For example, I do well to eat 2 charbroiled shrimp at a meal. I still cannot tolerate breads. My caloric intake is around 700-800/day. I hope to go on a medical mission trip in January and I'm beginning to think about what I can take with me that will keep and is high protein. My diet now is a lot of protein from dairy. Anyway, I don't know if I've helped. Good luck in your schooling and continued journey toward your weight loss goals. GB LuvitsunnyV@goal

WoW! I am surprised at how little everyone is still eating!!!! I can eat about a cup at a time. I do not eat very regularly at all. At home I eat string cheese and cucumbers in a vinegar dressing as my favorite snack (usually 3/4 cup) Other snakc choices- I eat the carb well peanut butter protien bars or regular granola bars or a whole mini bag of popcorn. For breakfast I almost always have 1 bacon and cheese toaster scramble. We have been eating out a lot lately too- I do sandwhich and salad usually for lunch and can eat maybe 10 bites of salad and 1/4 of a sandwhich- maybe 4 or 5 fries sometimes. Or I get a BLT and eat half and a few fries. Dinner is almost always steak or shrimp when I go out. I can have maybe 3 oz of steak and a few small bites of the sides and stuff- like maybe 3 or 4 bites of salad, the same of the veggie or potatoe and the steak- sounds like a lot to me!!!!! AT home I cook for my family like I always have and I eat whatever we are having. Mexican food, italian, meat and potatoes with a veggie.... it doesn't matter I eat it- I just stick to protein first, then some veggies, then some of the starch if I have room. I do avoid sweets almost all together and that isn'y because I make myself- I just never did care much for em. I may have 1 sf snack a week or some real ice cream once a month if that. The granola bars are like a dessert treat for me. I also do the mini bags of chips maybe once or twice a week as a snack. Sorry if this is more than you wanted to know. I am still losing. It's slowed down to about 8 lbs a month the last 2 months and I have about 30 to go til goal. I also exercise at least 2 times a week. Shawna 360/222/190

HOW MUCH CAN U EAT NOW Hi Christy It varies from day to day.Sometimes it seems to myself anyways that I am eating to much and other days I don't eat nearly enough.I went to Denny's the other day with my 2 sisters and brother inlaw and they all ordered a big breakfast and I drank coffee. It is strange that I have to force myself to eat at times. At one time I could eat them all under the table and now my friend Cathys 6 year old daughter can eat more than I can.I do try to have a CIB every morning and stay away from empty calories(chips,cookies..etc,)Hope everything works out for you.....................Steve c
