Hello Everyone, I thought that I would give us a place to shout out the things that we did right today. Help keep ourselves accountable and make us feel better that we are back on the right track. Post here as many times as you like today!!! I will! Post your meals too! Today so far...7:17 am I speed walked home from my daughters bus stop. I usually walk VERY slowly. I even ran the last 1/4 of the way...Must remember to wear tennies instead of sandals tomorrow!

Hi there Tracy, It is 9:00am here and I will begin to walk a bit. I can't do the boardwalk now but will as soon as I feel better. I still feel the abdominal pulling in the stomach area from this surgery I had 3 weeks ago. This morning I went back to my yummy protein drink, It is called "BODY TECH" by the Vitamin Shoppe. The vanilla is yummy . Whey protein. It contains 17 grms protein, 100 calories. and its great. Its a bit thicker than Crystal Light, and dissolves instantly. YUM YUM. For lunch ..I will have my salad with a slice or 2 of turkey breast. I now can eat meat . I use a pressure cooker and it finally can be digested. It's about time huh? For dinner I will have some of that pressure cooked meat and some spinach. I will also have more of my protein drink for snack. At 100 calories I will try to have 2 a day. hey Tracy.......please do update your photo.....I would love to see ya in short hair I am sure you are beautiful!!! Anyways I am proud of myself.....at lunch I made a half sandwich on whole wheat-no crust with turkey and cheese.....I had two bites left and felt a little stuffed, instead of finishing it because I usually do, I DIDN'T!!!! WooHOO but the real kicker came a little later....My mom was here for a few days helping me out after having the hysterectomy....I have three little ones, and she made them homemade chocolate chip cookies, since I don't bake, she likes to make them treats. Well for the last three days I have been eating one here and there....I do dump, but it takes a lot of sugar not the 10 grams that are in a cookie....anyways to make a long story short...I went reaching for my cookie and thought about it for a second....put the container back up and DIDN'T have that cookie!!! WOW I like this feeling of control! Take Care and thanks for the little encouragment!!!! Jesi

You go Lorraine! Just be careful not to do too much...let yourself heal first! You are doing so great!!! WOO HOO for you Jesi! You go girl! You ARE stonger than those cookies!!! If you want to see me with short hair, I have them up on my profile. I still need to post my Oktoberfest photo too. I've been lazy lately! Thats all gonna change! My little jog and brisk walk must have done me some good, this afternoon instead of the 141.8 I have been weighing for days...I now weigh 140.0! WOO HOO for me!! For breakfast I had cottage cheese mixed with tuna so I get in the recommended 20 grams of protein per meal and I DIDN'T DRINK with my meal! WE ROCK!!!

I wasn't a good girl today. I teetered on the edge. I'll definitely do better tomorrow. I'll start by NOT answering my phone. Thanks again TtS I had actually FORGOTTEN that I decided to recommit to my surgery. I printed out my pledge and stuck it on my frig. Had I stopped here this morning before I probably would have done better. I'm ready for tomorrow though. V. Grooms

My 'right' things are no snacking. If I get hungry between a meal, like around 3pm, I have an apple with a little p. butter. Or a handful of soy nuts. My meals are balanced with high protein and veggies. Very little carbs, except for the fruit and whole wheat toast in the am. I try to avoid protein bars, too much fat and sugar. I do exercise when I can, although this week has been hard because I'm not feeling well. Ithink I'm gettin sick. Maybe that scope took more out of me than I thought. My weight is stable, 197 for nearly three months now, with a size 14-16. So I am content, I guess. I would love to be smaller, but I don't know what else to do, other than my best. Nona

Still doing right!!! I had plain flavored tuna (Starkist-Sweet & Spicy) for lunch, about 2 ounces and I didn't drink with my meal! For dinner I had about a 3 ounce hamburger patty (THING) from a low carb TV dinner and a little yellow squash and I didnt drink with that meal either. After cleaning up after all of those hurricanes, I was sick of yard work but today I raked the yard and swept my porches so I got a little exercise besides my morning brisk walk/jog. Now if I cna get through the night without screwing up...I'll be happy with my day! KEEP POSTING!!!! Tracy

Hi Tracy. I exercised for 1.5 hours today and unfortunately didn't have time for breakfast or lunch and had steak stirfry for dinner and a couple grilled shrimp. Lots of water today too. I did okay, except I should have had a few protein drinks earlier in the day. Will try harder tomorrow!
