Had my colonoscopy today and what a nightmare. I was awake and boy did it hurt. Then, they couldn't finish because I have scar tissue partially blocking my intestine due to the RnY. So I had to go have a Barium Enema. That really hurt. But no pallups. Just the scar tissue. And that is why I keep getting so constipated. So it's Zelnorm for me, but my insurance want written documentaion or they won't pay and it's nearly $200. So I will wait a week for it. But I don't want to have to go through that again. NOna

Nona, I'm glad this is over for you. I've never had a colonoscopy or an enema for that matter so I can't relate but it all sounds awful to me. Ouch!! Sorry to hear about the constipation, that must be awful too. Here's hoping you get your Zelnorm soon. Have a nice weekend.

Nona, I can't believe you were awake. OUCH! I had one a couple of years ago and whatever drugs they gave me were wonderful! I never felt a thing. Hope you're constipation issue is resolved with the Zelnorm. LuvitsunnyV@goal

The pharmacist tells me that my insurance won't pay for Zelnorm. They want me to use Miralax. I've used it before and it didn't help. I guess I'm doomed to MOM for the rest of my life. I can't afford to pay for it out of pocket as it is nearly $200 for a months supply. Nice, huh? Nona

Thank goodness it is just scar tissue!!! Hoepfullt your insurance will back down after the written request....I would make sure to call and talk to them personally too.....it helps sometimes! Best of luck Jesi

I"m still working on getting the Zelnorm approved. If they won't I"m going to try the Miralx again, just take a whole lot more of it to keep things soft and moving. I feel so terrible today. I have so much Barium still inside me. I took MOM to get rid of it, but it still is there and I just feel yuckey. Anyone else have any ideas on getting feeling better?

No go with the Zelnorm. Mirilax only, just up the dosage. So that's what I will do. Just hope it works as I don't want any more surgery.
