I'm Almost "OVERWEIGHT"
I just had to share my happy Saturday morning with you! I managed to lose 4.5 pounds this week and now I am only 2.5 pounds to a weight of 191 which puts me at a BMI of 29.9 (OVERWEIGHT!). (Okay, the high range of overweight but I don't care!!) On the day of surgery my BMI was 54.3 (347 pounds at 5.7). Being "overweight" sounds so much better than "super obese". I'm so excited. How awesome is it to lose 153.5 in 9 months and 1 week?!?! I'm on cloud nine and had to share! Have a great day.
Congrats! Funny how thrilled we can be to say "I'm overweight!" You've done a wonderful job.
Today is my 9 month anniversary, and I'm 12 pounds from "Normal", although those who know me think it will take a lot more than losing a few more pounds to make me normal...
Have a great weekend. I'm sure you'll be overweight in no time!
Happy Anniversary Deb! Thanks so much for your kind words. Even when the BMI chart says normal for me I know no one will agree that I am "normal" so I am completely with you! Congratulations to you on your success - only 12 pounds from normal is very exciting. You'll get there really soon. Thanks again, and have a great day.
Thanks Lorraine !! We are SO lucky and I thank God every day for giving me this new life. I do things that I used to only dream about. I don't stay hidden in my apt anymore - I am out doing stuff (except for this afternoon because it's rainy!) and walking and riding bikes, etc. People look at me and see a 193 pound person rather than a 347 pound person, it's surreal and very very exciting. I could never have reached this point on my own and am so grateful to the pouch (and my insurance!). Have a great day!
Thanks Kimberly (great name by the way!). I'm jumping too! You have done so well yourself my dear. 129 !! Oh my goodness, that's way exciting too. We all have so much to celebrate. Now, "normal" is a very relative word however I will take a normal BMI. I will be patient though as I have been through this whole process. I know I will get there, it will just take time. Thanks again, and have a great day.
