GIRLY ISSUES...You too?
Hello everyone!
I was just wondering since most of us have the same problems about the same time, maybe this is bothering some of you also. For about 3 months now, my breasts are sore most of the time. I never had this before and wonder if it isn't the change in tissue distribution? I saw my OBGYN and he thought it wasn't a problem and found nothing but I just wonder if this is common in gastric bypass patients due to our changing shapes? Thanks in advance for posting! Tracy
I thought it was just me. Mine itch and burn sometime, too. Not seriously but between that and the discomfort, I thought there was a problem, but my PCP says all looks good. She thinks it's due to the loss of fatty tissue and they are becoming more sensitive. She suggested a change of type of bra. I found lovlies at Fredericks of Hollywood. The Liquid bra. Feels like you're wearing nothing and adds a little 'extra' to the eye. They're not cheap, around $45, but worth the comfort.

My breasts are lumpy and saggy, but not really sore. My bones are sore though! I noticed alot of muscle soreness when I don't drink enough water. Also-might be hormones just releasing themselves, mocking signs of pregnancy. My PCP said that for about a YEAR I will have imbalances, irregular periods, ect. I hope this helps even a little.

Dearest Tracy, I was laughing when I read your post. I was laughing to myself about the subject BREASTS. I really don't know if I should or . I had small breasts and now I have the "Animal Planet" breasts. I mean if you watch that station and see the momma gorilla with her baby, that is what my breasts look like.
I don't have any soreness or pain... just as flat as pancakes.. I never liked push up bras but now........................No other choice...Take care Tracy... are watching you girl....Lorraine
Thanks to everyone who posted!
Thanks for asking but No, Laura, I am NOT pregnant! Perish the thought! lol I had that taken care of years ago, I won't be one of those you hear about with a "surprise pregnancy" after surgery. UGH! They DO feel like when you are pregnant however. I have been wearing one of my old, and way too big sports bras full time. They seem to be a little better if supported. I had a mamogram appointment yesterday that I just could not face. I have heard about the VICE thingy that they clamp you into and since I am already sore, forget it! Rachel, did I get a new photo? The ones in my profile? I did some yesterday and some today.
As for shape... HA! Gorillas!!!! I liken mine to the native women in the national geographics magazine. Long and thin from never being supported. I went from a 44 DD to a 36 LONG! Well, I guess it is just changing body shapes. Maybe after the lifts and ticks they will feel better! Anyone contacted a plastic surgeon yet??? Tracy
