Thought for the day part II

Lorraines post earlier today was inquiring if any of you all wanted to try to plan a get together at or near our 1 year anniversary so that we could all meet in person. If you are interested, I will be happy to do the leg work and find us a relatively centralized meeting place for a weekend. Please let me hear from you if you are interested so that I know who is from where.. I am thinking the 1st weekend in December, possibly in New Orleans, Las Vegas, or somewhere warmer like Orlando?? Let me know what you think.

I'll have to pass. I live in NE PA and can't afford to travel. Funds are tight, and really tight in the winter, as it is the slow time for my work,( construction) and hubby's work,(logging) so money is scarce. I can't afford to travel during the good months either, but I can drive local. But since I live here, it's not likely I'd be close enough to go. But I'll be there in spirit. Nona

I am in Fairfax, Virginia. Just a suggestion: perhaps January would be better, that way all of us would have reached the one year mark. I think the destination would be the deciding factor for me, but I am definitely interested. Kirsten A

Hi Laura I am interested IF it were in January. I used all my vacation time when I had the surgery. And for me funds are tight also; but if I could scrape together the money I would live to go. So am I hearing Vegas in January??? Hmm... I have never been to Vegas so this could be fun. Also can be pretty cheap I hear.. Lets see what everyone else thinks??????

Laura, I am so excited just to think we will meet..... but I don't have any vacation time. I used most of it when I had the surgery and when I was in the hospital earlier this month. Next year would be better for me... We will get it together soon... If it is booked for next year it will be easier for me.... Take care Lorraine
