Happy Anniversary...Looking back
Hi guys, Happy Anniversary to all the guys here, who are most of us on our 8 months post-op since our WLS. I hope all of you are healthy and happy and enjoying your new slimmer lives. . Today is my 8Anniversary and I am now down -102 pds. I started this journey at 245 lbs. As of today I am weighing 143 lbs and at "GOAL" I am very happy going from a size 22/24 to a size 8. Life is good, diabtes is gone, "NO MORE PILLS"
Anybody care to reflect on your past information since your weight loss surgery just so when can look at our progress together and be happy?
Have a great day guys and keep on Lorraine
Hi Lorraine,
I started out at 299, with my highest being 315, wearing a 28-30, some 32's. Now, at 8 months, I'm 195, wearing a 16 with some 14's. I avoid sugar. Even a small amount doesn't set well, but I know I eat way too much. I can easily eat 2 or 3 cups of food at a meal. That includes a salad. If it's dense measurement, about 2 cups. But I try not to eat that much, but sometimes I do. Even this, I am still eating less than I did preop and am very happy. I am healthy, moving, JOGGING, and loving my life to the fullest. I am so happy I did this.

Hey Lorraine!
I am now 8 1/2 months out....I can't believe the time has just flown by. I remember being just a couple of weeks out thinking when will this get better and now... I can't eat pretty much anything! It gets scary sometimes when I eat something I know I'm not "supposed to". I don't eat nearly as much as I used to of the bad things...still scared I'll dump...lol!
I started my journey at 230 pounds.... diabetes and just plain miserable. I am now 138 pounds... 13 pounds from goal and no longer diabetic! I am wearing mostly size 8s but at Kohl's I can wear 6s...I now really love that store!!
Congratulations to you for doing so well with your journey and I'm glad that things are going well for all of us!

My biggest compliments (8 months post op today) are that my youngest daughter looks at my pre-surgery picture (at 226#) and doesn't recognize me being that heavy~~my daughter-in-law says she never considered me obese until she sees how good I look now~~my husband just says "it's incredible." I now weigh 126 pounds. Pre-surgery I was wearing 18's & 20's........today I wear a slender size 6 in blue jeans and 4 in dress clothes. I really have so much to be thankful for --
My congratulations to all who share the 12/15/03 surgery date and are celebrating our 8 months post op today!
