Ok, I hope it's ok to post the question of the day, so here goes. A:Are there any foods at this point in time that you still can't eat? B:What are they, and what happens when you do try to eat them? C:Do you plan on trying them later? Nona A: Yep, several B: Raw veggeies, like carrots and celery. Iceburg lettuce, peppers, berries, and rice and pasta. Sometimes steak. They all stick like lead pipes, except for the berries. They have seeds and I can't eat them. Seeds or nuts. C: Everything but the pasta. I don't want the low carb stuff and no white flour. I may try the rice in brown a few months down the road, but not any time again soon.

Hi, Nona ! I suppose you only mean foods that I should be eating? I could give you quite a list of sweets.... The only foods I have found that I really can't eat are broccoli and al dente pasta. (Cook the pasta to mush and it's ok, but who wants mush?) I'm sure I'll try the pasta again, in small amounts, but broccoli will never pass these lips again. I used to love it, but I got so sick the last time I tried it that I get queasy watching dh eat it. Interesting question. I can't wait to see some more responses. Deb

A:Are there any foods at this point in time that you still can't eat? not really except for milk and ice cream (lactose issue I think) AND I tried eating bratwurst type sausage with casing and I can't get the casing to break down enough and I am not willing to PEEL my sausage to eat it ....so I will pass on those! B:What are they, and what happens when you do try to eat them? INTENSE gas/cramping/diarrhea. C:Do you plan on trying them later? Might give the mil**** cream a try this weekend with a dose of Lactaid and see if that "cures" me Otherwise the only reason food doesn't go down is if I don't chew it properly/good enough/eat too much/too fast. I absolutely love broccoli and haven't had any problems!!! Of course I have bites of almost anything! I do notice that RICE tends to be the bulkiest thing I eat that sits the heaviest/takes longer to digest. Past does just fine as long as I chew well and I eat it Al Dente. Last night I had this chicken/macaroni bake thing and everything went down beautifully! It was soooo easy to make.

:Are there any foods at this point in time that you still can't eat? B:What are they, and what happens when you do try to eat them? C:Do you plan on trying them later? A. I still have problems with bread. B. I had started eating it again (wheat bread with high protein) and the last couple of days I started feeling bad. Yesterday it was bad enough that I thought I was having gall bladder problems. But, I got me some new multi-symptom rolaids and the pain has subsided...so it was apparently gas. I also lost 2 lbs since yesterday. I guess I will have to go back to pretty much eating bread on rare occasions and very small portions. C. I will probably still eat bread on occasion, but I will definitely tone it down quite a bit for now since it seems to cause horrible gas pains for me.

Good question Nona!! A:Are there any foods at this point in time that you still can't eat? I can eat pretty much anything but rice has to minimal amounts b/c once I eat it...it feelslike it expands again in my tummy. Fried foods... well I'm too scare to even try them B:What are they, and what happens when you do try to eat them? I ate a tiny piece that my kids were eating and I was so terrified that it was going to hurt. I will not take that chance...not anytime soon. Its been so long since I've gotten sick and I don't want to break my streak...lol C:Do you plan on trying them later? Maybe one day...but to honest I don't really miss it that much.

Are their foods at this point in time that you can't eat? I haven't ever had any trouble with anything, but for some reason, lots of things don't appeal to me at all anymore. Like bread. I DO still love potatoes, so I take a bite of someone else's and that is it. I don't take any chances with sugar, just never have...but I have put Ketchup on eggs and it has sugar. B doesn't apply. Nothing ever happened. C: Do I plan on trying them later? I have always hated fish and now I try little bites of it hoping I will develop a taste for it.

Bread and Rice feel like a pile of bricks in my stomach if I try them. Oh, if meat is too dry-I had some dry chicken an dry hamburger a little while back and of course it came back up. May try them later...I am sure as your pouch gets bigger those things like rice or bread go down easier Karie -97...lost one more pound this morning!!!!!

I can't eat bread - pasta - rice or anything with garlic. The bread, pasta and rice make me feel like I'm choking. The garlic makes me sick. I also dislike chicken and I can tolerate an egg only once a week. (It has to be poached soft so it will slide down fast!) I may periodically try the bread and pasta again, but I can't say I really miss those foods anyway.

Good Morning Nona A. Are there foods that I still can't eat? Yep! B. Foods that I still can't eat - mexican spices and rice. Rice - I dumped on it. And it was only a little bit as it was the sticky rice on three pieces of sushi (actually a Philly Roll). Mexican spices give me wicked indigestion. C. Try them later? Mexican spices I can definitely live without. Rice - what I do now is poke the sticky rice off the outside of the roll and only eat 2 pieces. With the bit of rice that is left on the inside and only two pieces it seems to be OK. However, I have not ever tried anything with more than 3 grams of sugar. I don't want to find out that I can eat it. I also try to avoid white carbs but pasta and mashed potatoes are an occasional treat. I only eat bread when I go out to eat and only then if it is not white bread and I put lots of butter on it. (I think I miss the butter more than the bread!) Joanne
