Hi to all my friends, We have all been busy with the summer here but let me post a question. I hope you guys can get to the board to answer ..... Here we go...... First, Now that most of us have taken a majority of our weight off in this journey do you feel as it slows up kind of HOPELESS? Do you feel you can get to your "IDEAL GOAL" Is there some things you have promised to do to speed this up this goal of yours up? ARE THERE ANY REGRETS TO HAVING THE SURGERY? Now... last one..... Do you finally see the 'SMALLER GIRL" in the mirror? Have a great Wednesday and PEACE and LOVE be with you First answer .... Now that the weight loss has slowed up for me and it is taking me so long to get to the century mark... yes I feel like When will I get there? I have now promised myself I will excersise more and stay away from thos delicious Veggie Sticks from Trader Joes. They are great but have alot of calories. You know my answer to this one "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Regrettttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttts" whatsoever. NO Insulin here anymore. Yes I now see the smaller girl here in the mirror. I saw new pics taken this past weekend and yes I am now SLIM. Lorraine

Good Morning, Lorraine. Peace and Love to you, also! First, Now that most of us have taken a majority of our weight off in this journey do you feel as it slows up kind of HOPELESS? I almost hate to admit this, but until I had surgery on my arm last week, my weight loss had been a pretty darn consistent 2.5 pounds per week. Still. On the other hand, I've only lost 9 of the 11 I gained in the hospital, and that is upsetting me. And then there is the orthopedic surgeon who doesn't want me losing any more weight while my arm heals, insisting that I increase my calories... Not Hopeless, but damn FRUSTRATING! Do you feel you can get to your "IDEAL GOAL" I don't have one. So, Yes, No...uh... "IDEAL GOAL" to me implies some measure of perfection, and as an "All or Nothing" kind of gal, I don't even want to think about what I could do to sabbotauge myself if I had some perfect body in mind. My goal is to maintain in the "normal" range for my height, which is only 26 more pounds, and I have no doubts I'll get there. Is there some things you have promised to do to speed this up this goal of yours up? For now, just do what my orthopedic surgeon says so I can get healed up and exercising again. ARE THERE ANY REGRETS TO HAVING THE SURGERY? Only that I didn't do it sooner. Now... last one..... Do you finally see the 'SMALLER GIRL" in the mirror? Depends...in clothes, yes. Naked, now that is a scary, saggy sight. I see all that skin, and think that I could fill it all out again if I don't do the right things. Blessings to you all! Deb

Hi there Deb, I am happy when you guys answer the posts so we can keep helping each other. I am satsified with this Goal I am at... I never heard the word "IDEAL GOAL" until I went for my 6 month checkup. He told me the GOAL is the sucess of what the surgery has accomplished. If you have lost 75% or more of your excess weight. Yes the other word seems kind of a measure of perfection. He says it means what the insurance companies call the weight that they consider you a good candidate for health insurance or life insurance. I am happy now but if I get to "IDEAL GOAL" I will be happy. To stay the way I am now that is good also.... Have a great day Deb....Lorraine

Do you feel you can get to your "IDEAL GOAL" My 'Ideal Goal' is 150lbs. No, I don't think I'll ever get there, not when I've stopped here at 200. If I could get to 180, I'd be ecstatic. Is there some things you have promised to do to speed this up this goal of yours up? I don't know of anything else I can do. I try to exercise more, but I just don't have the time. ARE THERE ANY REGRETS TO HAVING THE SURGERY? No. Never. Now... last one..... Do you finally see the 'SMALLER GIRL" in the mirror? Not yet. I know she's there, my Joe sees her all the time and says so. But I still see 'fat 'ol Nonie Balonie' and probably will for a while yet.

Hello Everyone Summer has been busy here too ....LOVE the fact that I am not hot and miserable this year!! Hopeless, NO....is it going to take even more work to get to my ideal, YES. Will I get to my ideal weight? I think so. At 141 my BMI is within "normal" and I'd be happy to stay this weight forever, but a little part of me wants to see 125-130lbs. As always, I need to increase my exercize to increase my ever s-l-o-w-i-n-g loss. 1-2lbs per week now AND those d*mn carb that keep calling my name.....ughhhhhh NEVER had one regret, no even from day one Depends on the day and what I am wearing. When I do laundry I can't believe that those are my pants. But there are times when I feel so fat still. Like Lorraine, it really took me seeing new pictures to see the real me!! Happy Wednesday, Kimberly 245/141/????

Kimberly I know just what you mean about laundry and the pants I keep putting my jeans on dh's side of the closet. When I hold up a pair of my new 14's, my brain instantly says, "There is no WAY that your A** is going to fit in those." And then, it does. (And, I can get into HIS jeans easly now. Don't tell dh.) Thanks for the giggle, Deb

Hey Deb! How's the arm?? Isn't it fun to wear dh's pants One of the things that I dreamed of pre-op was being able to sleep in a pair of his boxers and a tank top...and I CAN!!!! Thank God and Dr. Matthew Rawlins for this surgery Have a good evening~Kimberly

great questions! I am afraid I will not get to my goal, I have lost 90 lbs, I need to lose 20 more. I feel like I will never get to the century mark. I wanted to be one of the people that got very skinny and has a hard time keeping the weight on. no such luck here. I also have no regrets, this surgery is the best thing I ever did! I wish I could see the smaller person, I have a hard time with that. People say I look so good and so thin and I just dont see it. In my pictures I see someone with a saggy face now. also I know I need to excercise, but I cant seem to get the motivation. oh well maybe tomorrow have a good day, sandi

Hi Lorraine and fellow Decemberites Do you feel you can get to your "IDEAL GOAL"- I have my doubts Is there some things you have promised to do to speed this up this goal of yours up? I havent "promised" myself anything, but i do know that if I were to get to the gym more frequently I would be more self satisfied. ARE THERE ANY REGRETS TO HAVING THE SURGERY? Not a one ! Now... last one..... Do you finally see the 'SMALLER GIRL" in the mirror? I do see her, but I dont "feel" her.. know what I mean? Elaine
