Extreme Anxiety--PMS 24/7

I've experienced stress, depression and anxiety I think all my life. But the past month has been EXTREME. I've been prescribed Paxil, Wellbutrin , Buspar and Xanax at different times in my life. I've been using Xanax for the past 2 months. But I just went through withdrawls last night because I ran out of xanax only 2 days ago because I was doubling up. What hell!!!!!!!!!! Luckily, I found an old script and had it filled. The crying, the visions of violence in my head, the yelling at my family members, the stomach cramps, extreme backaches, the feelings of being out of control and insomnia. It all stopped after a single dose. The withdrawals were 100x's worse than the stress, depresson and anxiety that I originally took the meds. for in the first dang on place.Thank God I see my PCP on Monday. Any suggestions??????

I don't know anything that would help, but my family and I are going to pray for you the second I finish writing this post. Those feelings have to be horrible. Please let us know what the doctor says as I will be wondering and worrying about you. I wish I knew something more that would help.

Thanks for the info and prayers. My PCP suggested Effexor XR. I now feel smooth.......I don't have the cravings to take Xanax during the day but I do take it at night to sleep. And I do know I can't miss any doses!!!!!!! or hell on earth will return.
