I swear people can be soooooooooo...............
I post on another board where one of the other posters went to see her live at discussion group. Barbara, the poster, is a nurse and mid wife and says Carnie gained more than just 10lbs. It's more like 25. But that we all will probably regain some of what we lost. That's to be expected. We're only suppose to loose 65% of our excess, not all of it. But the worst is Carnie made a derogatory comment about Barbara right on stage. Not a good thing for a public figure to do. Barbara regained 65lbs, lost 50 of that and stated so, and Carnie called Barbara's story the 'worst', being a failure. Barbara didn't fail. As a public figure, my opinion of Carnie, is that she failed her public. She denys the gain, and that makes it harder to defend the surgery to opposers. Not a good thing to do.

Don't feel bad...I have seen Carnie on LIVE and she does look like she has gained more than 10lbs, but still soooo much healthier than before WLS.
I think we *I* are so curious because *we* I am afraid of regain myself. In the past I could lose, but never maintain.
I only read the main board, but do not post there either. I like our little place better.
Here's some from one December looser to another~Kimberly
HEY GIRL!!! Glad to see you back!!
I'm guessing all those chicks were PMSing at the same time.
I know I get tired of hearing the "Carnie regaining ALL of her weight" myth myself, but that's no reason to jump down the throat of someone just looking for info........shame on them!
By the way, time for a NEW PICTURE of you, sweetie!!! 122 pounds!! You must look AMAZING!!! Get it up there so we can all see you and get PEA-GREEN with ENVY!!

I tend to shy away depending upon the topic but sometimes those posts on the main board tick me off and I have to say something when everyone just jumps on the bandwagon.
People like to make blanket statements and apply it to everyone...we are all different. Especially just in our Dec board. Look at all the different amts of weight loss and what folks can/can't eat.
I remember hearing an interview with Al Roker and he says after surgery you can't eat Avocado...MAYBE he can't eat avocado but he said it like EVERYONE that has this surgery can't eat Avocado ever again...or maybe it wasn't Al Roker...nope actually it was that Randy Jackson guy from American Idol...see and I even got that mixed up! I always try to preface things with ....I can't eat such and such but other folks have NO problems etc... because I don't want other people being confused about this surgery either. AND I also have to tell people that I might not be a good example because I haven't lost as much weight as others in the same time period but at the same time I haven't had ANY COMPLICATIONS and the only main food problem I have had is with Ice Cream and MILK.... I (knock on wood) have never dumped. BUT I do think I am now lactose intolerant with certain dairy products.
SO I don't want people to think it is piece of cake either.....I have just been extremely lucky.
AND I ate AVOCADO several times this weekend!!!!!! mmmmmm good
