I had an incisional hernia repaired 6/30. Anyone else had one? The surgeon also revised my previous incision to make it look better. I gained a few pounds in the hospital from all the IV fluids, but they are coming off. I will be off work a few weeks, I am worried about gaining weight, since I won't be as active.

Hello, I had an incisional hernia repaired YEARS ago on a c-section incision. The hernia was the entire length of the incision (belly button to pelvic bone). I can remember just as I was waking up from anesthesia I heard on male nurse ask a female nurse what I was in for and she said "She had a HUGE hernia, the biggest the doctor had seen." I am hoping for a scar revision on my WLS scar, it looks aweful! You will be fine with your weight loss, as they suggest, walk daily, the excess water weight will come off and resume your normal exercise as soon as they say it is OK. Best of luck to you! Tracy
