July Goals?????
Happy July everyone
Sorry I have been absent from the board. I want to congratulate everyone on their great weight loss achievements
I was just looking back at my weight loss chart and realized that over the past two months I have not been much of a loser So I thought July 1st would be a good day for us all to set some goals, and let everyone know what they are. This way we can kind of be accountable
1) Work out at the Gym at least 4 times a week (Can do that one)
2) Quit grazing (hmmmm a little harder)
3) Forget that I have found out I can eat candy and not dump!!!! (maybe someone could bonk me on the head)
4) Keep my carbs per meal under 30 grams (like I said, I don't dump)
5) Find something else to think about besides what I can eat next
6) Experience as many WLS moments as possible
Jackie
Great Idea, Jackie. I know I need some positive goals to concentrate on. So here's my list:
1) Follow my ortho's instructions (and restrictions) so I can get this arm healed as quickly as possible.
2) Find some exercise I can do without violating #1, and do it at least 4x's per week.
3) Get back to eating the 3 meals and 3 snacks my surgeon wants me to eat. No more skipping!
4) Keep healthy food in the house se we can stop eating take-out all the time.
Now hold me to those!

Hi there Jackie,,,, I don't think I have to post my answers to your question... You have answered most of them for me..... FUNNY HUH?
I hurt my knee and took one month off of Curves. I will be returning on the 7th of this month .. can't wait. I have 6 pds left to the century club. Thank god I am at GOAL.
There is one you did not answer and that is for me to drink more water. I just can't get that part in.
Yes I can eat some candy.... sad to say. . Like I said you have answered the questions for me......
JULY GOALS????? Get to the Century Club
Have a great day..... Lorraine
Hi Jackie!
Great to see you back...been missing you. Weight loss has slowed for all of us I think! UGH! I think I am doing more now that I have in 20 years! I do all of my yardwork now, mowing, hedging, weeding, raking sweeping etc. Plus we get out on the boat on weekends. I have more energy than I have had in years. I'm very thankful for that! I did ALL of the needed yardwork today (in the HOT Florida sun, I might add) and I am still awake! WOW were those hedges overgrown! I really need a power hedger! Too hard doing it manually. Gives ya weak arms for the rest of the day! Plus my husband has the heaviest mower on the face of the earth! I think it about outweighs ME now! HILLS!!! NOOOO!!!
As for goals, I checked mine yesterday. The ones we set at about 3 months. I had a goal weight of 166 down for my birthday on July 26th. But I reached 165 almost a month early! So my NEW goal for my birthday is 5 monre pounds off... 160 even better 159 by my birthday on July 26th! My house is cleaner than it has ever been AND on top I do everyone elses chores too! Good luck on your new goals set today!!! Keep posting! Tracy
GREAT question!!!
My July goal is to be under 200 by my cruise date of the 29th. That is 9 pounds away! I am going to make it in spades!!! It will make me feel SO good to get on that boat with all of my coworkers knowing I FINALLY have a "1" instead of the old 3 or 2 on the scale.
My reward? My first massage EVER is hanging in the balance!!
WISH ME LUCK!!!!!
Good luck to you all with your July goals!!!!!

Well, I just figured up (depressing) that since May 27 I have only lost 6-7 lbs. total. I have been stalling more than loosing but I honestly believe I'm "doing it all right" so I guess I'll just keep doing that and hope I will loose again soon. But the main thing I'm trying to do is just enjoy where I'm at.....I can do SOOOO much more now and I get comments every day about my loss so I'm just trying to enjoy that instead of focus on the lb.

I want to make it into the 100 club! I only have to lose 8 more pounds to hit 100! I would be so thrilled to do this. In all I would like to lose another 40lbs.
I need to exercise more but to be honest I do lots of activities. Like I am sure most of us do like....yard work, swimming, playing ball with my two boys, going to the park and walking...ect. So I am not so pressed to feel like I need to walk a boring tread mill for 30 minutes a day?
Best of Luck to you all...

Hi Jackie and the rest of the Decemberites,
Great question!!!
My July goals are as follows:
1) Continue to finish Phase 1 of SuddenlySlim (only 5 more days), then on to Phase II where I should see a lot of inches lost and fat turning into muscle. Off the carbs and have MUCH MORE ENERGY AND I AM NOW REGULAR!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wahoooooooooooo
2) get back in the university activity center 4-5 days a week. I miss those workouts since school is out.
3) drink more water, fluids. I am finding that I can drink more and more
4) finish this grad program and graduate (Aug 14) and get back to my family and take some of the load off of my dh
5) get to the CENTURY CLUB!!!! (8 more pounds to go)
I have lost four pounds and 7 1/2 inches in the past 4 days, yes 4 days doing this Suddenly Slim program with my husband. He has lost 10 pounds and 6 inches. It is not a diet persay, just very healthy eating with protein shakes that are great, all natural and very safe for WLS patients. I have become addicted to their shakes.
Oh, BTW, I have been putting about a teaspoon of sugar free jello (any flavor you want) in my vanilla shakes to make some awesome tasting shakes. Had peach this morning, dh had strawberry banana. Try it. Also I have found the ARIA shakes at walmart to be the best tasting over the counter protein drinks. Although they have nothing on the SS ones.
Have a great weekend and holiday guys. Have to go take a final and take my son to get his drivers license. YIKES!!!!! Stay off the road in Louisiana.........................
