Hi Lorraine It depends on my mood. But usually I just say "I had bariatric surgery." The reactions I get are strange - a LOT of people don't know what bariatric means and they just say "Oh" and nod their head! Some people - mostly people who are overweight - say "Why would you do that instead of Weigh****chers or......." I just say "Each of us has to decide what is right for us". And if someone is actually interested I am happy to tell them about the surgery. But if they say "How much weight have you lost?" I just say "A lot, can't you tell?" (What I really would like to say is "How much money do you make?" But they probably wouldn't get it that it is none of their business.) Have a great day. Joanne - the s-l-o-w loser
