stuck again
OK, I KNOW it won't last forever as my last stall didn't....(but it lasted 2 weeks).....now again, very soon I'm stalling again. I'm a week into my 7th month and haven't lost a thing....actually have gained a couple pounds. One thing I'm attributing it to is that I've increased my walking from an average of 2-3 miles a day to 5-6 miles a day....so maybe I'm building muscle. The worst of all....I'm soooooooo close to the century club. I was at -99, now am at -97. I'm not falling apart yet....I knew stalls would get more frequent at this stage, but I don't have to like it!!
Jenni
Jenni~ I totally feel your pain. I sat at -99 for two weeks.....talk about torture....you are right it is slower now, and I am sure you are gaining muscle......That is so great you are wallking 5-6 miles a day....your legs must look great!!!!! Keep up the great work!! Are you measuring inches....you are probably melting away inches....But like you said, you knew the stalls would get more frequent.....and NO we don't like it....NONE of us!!! But we are all here for eachother! Again, keep up the great work...I wished I walked have as much as you...do you walk outside or on a treadmill? Take Care Jesi
Jesi,
Nice to know I'm not alone, though I don't wish this on anyone!! I walk outside, but we've been having unusually wonderful summer weather. When it gets hotter, I'm going to have to head indoors. I tolerate heat much better than I did 98 lbs ago (I did loose back one lb) but I still don't tolerate it real well! Hugs,
Jenni
Five or six miles! Wow. I can get a mile in after work, two on the weekends, with weights in about half an hour, but 5 or 6! How do you find the time? Do you walk before or after work? I work from 6-6 m-t, having the 3 day weekend off. But with yard work, house work and other things, spending more than half an hour on exercise isn't going to be easy for me. Send me your itinerary, girl.
Nona
Hi Nona! I should have mentioned that I don't work in the summer!! That's why I have time to do this. And I only work part time from late Aug though mid-May.....I teach adult education classes about 5-8 days a month then and also substitute teach....but I have the summers off except for my Stampin' business and my e-bay selling (which are much more like fun than work, even though they do bring in some income!)
So I get up about 6 most mornings and walk with a teacher friend at 7:00 for the first 2.5 miles. Then, depending on the heat or lack thereof, we walk sometime in the evening, another 2.5 miles....then if it is nice I will sometimes get in a mile on my own mid-day.
When Fall rolls around, I will still commit to getting one 2.5 mile walk in daily and will do the 2nd one as time permits....but I figure, why miss the opportunity now??? Besides, I hate to clean house and I DO do laundry only cuz it has to be done but I can find a million excuses to "limit" my domestic chores....walking is a good one!! LOL!

Oh... I know what you mean about that DARN scale creeping back up! I was down and had lost 88 pounds... now I have lost 83 pounds! I just kicked my monthly pal out of town for a few weeks and I am hoping that she screwed up my scale b/c I just can't think of anything else that could have happened.
I used to fluctuate a pound or two when she showed up but 5 pounds!!! UGH!! Now in my 7th month out... I can tell I will have to scrap for those last 20 pounds or so if I plan on making it to goal!
