QOD 6/23
This is a two parter
1st question~ When you dream are you skinny or still heavy?
2nd~ Is your spouse or significant other gainging weight, or pet whoever?
For me~ I am still really heavy in all my dreams- I wish I would dream about me being thinner.....I wonder when my dream world will catch up to the real world......or if I am afraid of failing so I am keeping myself heavy????
YES- my hubby is gaining weight....even though I cook healthier, he eats his, mine, the kids, granted he has a lot of stress right now at work he has put on about 25 pounds.....he is miserable and depressed with himself, it seems we have switched roles now that I have had the surgery! Any suggestions? Jesi
Hi there Jesi,
1st question~ When you dream are you skinny or still heavy?
I really don't dream about myself at all sorry can't help you with that one.
2nd~ Is your spouse or significant other gainging weight, or pet whoever?
I don't have a significant other. I live with my daughter and she has definetly gained weight since I have had my weight loss surgery.
I really don't say too much to my daughter about her gaining weight. That is a very touchy subject in this house. She had gastric bypass in 2000 and really never reached goal and has gained most of it back.
I think weight gain is a touchy subject. I really don't touch that one with my loved ones or even friends. I think the person who has gained the weight does know and feels it also. Wish I could help you on that one.
Have a great day...... .Lorraine
Good Morning Jesi
1st question: Eegad! I guess I have never paid attention!?!?!?!
2nd question: DH is a skinny Asian guy who can eat 3X the normal man and has remained at 143 EXACTLY in the whole 6 years I have known him. My 16 year old daughter is another story. Poor kid takes after my side of the family. She is 5'7" and weighs about 195-200. She has gained 25-30lbs since my surgery. Being a teenager is sooo hard and being overweight is really hard. She is very envious that I am now smaller than her. She returns from vacation on Saturday and has asked for me to help her loose some weight this summer. We are going to start out by getting her to walk with me and simple stuff like cutting out the pop, drinking more water and watching carbs. I am so afraid that she will end up MO like me. Yet I also know that no one can make her lose weight. She like us, has to do it for herself and when she is ready.
Wish us luck Kimberly 245/144/??
1st question~ When you dream are you skinny or still heavy?
Funny you should ask. I haven't dreamt of myself since my surgery. I used to dream about doing things, going places, etc, but since the surgery, nothing. Odd. I wonder why.
2nd~ Is your spouse or significant other gainging weight, or pet whoever
Joe did for a while, but he's now eating like I do, lots of veggies and very little carbs and it came off. He wants to eat healthy so he lives longer, so he can torment me, he says. Such a sweetie

1st question: I actually did have a dream the other night and I was the size I am currently....not my old size.
2nd question: Well, I worked hard before surgery to begin losing some weight and my husband actually lost some too. Since I had surgery he has been able to lose a few pounds, but he basically maintains. He is overweight, so I think this aggravates him. It is a touchy subject if I asked him if he has checked his weight. I don't do it to find out if he's gained...I do it because I think it keeps you accountable and I think it is great to weigh and show a loss! I still weigh every single day and often several times a day. Crazy I know, but I am determined to be accountable about what I am eating.

When you dream are you skinny or still heavy? Funny thing is, I've always been thin in my dreams. Talk about denial!
Is your spouse or significant other gaining weight? I sure wish I had a suggestion for this one. DH says he's been at the same weight since our Aussie vacation 2 years ago (gained 15 pounds), but it sure looks like he's expanding. He tells me every day that he's going to the health club after work tomorrow, and then works too late, or whatever. And he's finishing anything I don't, so I'm being very careful about how much goes on the plate. I can see he's getting depressed, especially since my weight is now lower than his for the first time in the 21 years we've been together. What to do, what to do?????

Hello Jesi,
I dream both, sometimes thin and others heavy.
Hubby isn't gaining weight. Stays the same. He works weird hours and sometimes does not make it home for dinner and I usually don't eat what I cook for the family so we don't usually eat at the same time so, he's not finishing my plate. I try to be careful not to put too much on my plate now as I am still in the "finish whats on your plate" mode! Have a great day! Tracy
1st question~ When you dream are you skinny or still heavy? I do not have any dreams of myself that I remember since surgery except for RIGHT after surgery (still on pain meds) I dreamed about dumping.....and of course, I was still heavy then. (and I've never dumped in "real life" either)
2nd~ Is your spouse or significant other gainging weight, or pet whoever? my hubby always looses in the summer and gains in the winter....about 10 lbs. each way...so he's sticking with that pattern. The think I notice now since surgery is ALL THE LEFTOVERS we have.....Oh my! I can serve most of them a second time and hubby doesn't complain but the kids do and my pouch is VERY sensitive to leftovers, though not to anything else (except roast beef).

2nd~ Is your spouse or significant other gainging weight, or pet whoever?
Well my husband loves to cook so yes I think he has put on some weight but I know since I have had surgery my daughter which is now pregnant as put on alot of weight some from the pregnancy but some for the eating habits she has had and I try to help some by cooking good foods but you can lead a horse to water but cant make them drink.LOL But I do find myself cooking seperate meals for my family and I and I know sometimes thiers looks so much more appitizing. But I have been keeping up the good work I think; but I have to watch the carb intake alittle better. Diana
