Ok, I have to ask you, have you got the look? Before surgery my weight was 348. Now when I see peolpe who know I had the surgery the say you look great how much have you lost? Ok first off do I ask you how much you weigh when we meet. When I say between 90 and 100 lbs. They give me this look, I call it the once over "a look of wow you must have been huge and a glance at my tummy then the ever so "nice" comment I can really tell in your face! " What in heck is that suppose to mean? I feel great I look great, I am wearing jeans again and in sizes I haven't wore since high school! Yes, alot of my weight was in my tummy to the point is was sagging down my legs so I know that it still is a sagging problem, but I don't need people looking at it and then telling me you can see it in my face! Sorry I just had to blow off some steam! I am so greatfull to beable to change my life, and to beable to vent to people who understand! Carrie

Boy, I can relate here. With me, it wasn't the tummy but my arms. For some reason, my tummy is shrinking right up to the point that I actually have a definable waistline. My arms are a different story. I have hit myself in the face with these wing flaps more than once. They hang down a good four inches. That's a lot of UADD. (Under Arm Dingle Dangle). People look at them and stare saying, "Boy you have lost so much in your face that I didn't recognize you." Puleeze! My face isn't on my arm. I do toning, but the skin is so stretched I know I'll have to have them done next year. Hubby says it'll be my anniversary present. He's such a sweetie. Anyway, I usually tell them, "Hey, my face is up here." You should see them turn red. And when strangers/acquaintances ask how much weight, I just tell them, " A lot" and leave it at that. If they press, I just tell them that only family and a very very few close friends are given that info. I do it with a smile, but they get the idea. Most of my friends knew how much I weighed and how much I want to loose, so telling them is ok. Others, I don't feel they have the right to know that personal stuff. Nona PS. Lost 3lbs this week. Down to 203.5, 95.5lbs gone.

Hi Carrie- OH MY GOSH does this press my buttons I love people noticing and the compliments, but people who I don't know well asking me how much more do I want to lose or what size clothing I'm wearing, paleeeease! I just want to say, "Ya know, its none of your business and if I wanted you to know, you would know." I was very selective on who knew what and the numbers and still am. My sister-in-law (not very close to) was that way and I think she finally got the hint when I just kept saying alot or I was even saying I only wanted to lose 5 more pounds in the beginning. Even those who knew the numbers, they know my goal right now is just to be under 200 lbs. I started this journey at 389 and right now I'm at 267 at 6 1/2 months, I just try to be realistic. Then, I have co-workers now who won't even mention the word food around me, ask me to order out with them, or just seem to avoid looking at me sometimes. I've just come to the conclusion, people have no manners sometimes and are jealous of our success. Take care everyone! Keep up the awesome job! Kathy 389/267/under 200.....
