Hello to everyone, Since MOST of us have passed the six months point and are a whole half of a year past surgery, let's do a roll call and weigh in! Eveyone participate!! Name- Tracy Surgery Date- 12-12-03 Highest Weight- 261 Pre Surgery weight-251 Weight today- 170 (SCALE WONT MOVE!!! ) Total weight loss- 91 (from highest weight, I lost it, it counts!) Best thing about losing all the weight- Feeling normal, diabetes is gone! Best compliment to date- My friend Richards mother said that I look STUNNING! She also added that I look like a woman in my 20's!!!!! WOO HOO!!! Now thats a compliment!!!

Surgery Date- December 9, 2004 Highest Weight- 336 Pre Surgery weight- 270 nt before surgery but 286 when I came home from hospital Weight today- 192 Total weight loss- 144 Best thing about losing all the weight-being able to walk without being out of breath and huffing and puffing, having less problems with allergies, being able to find clothes that fit in regular stores Best compliment to date-"Oh my gosh, I didn't know it was you. Even standing here looking at you, I know it's your voice and it doesn't look like you."---from a former co-worker

I have gotten alot of my self-esteem back again, Best compliment to date-The best compliment I can give myself is that my diabetic complications have diminished .. Name- Laura Surgery Date- 12-08-03 Highest Weight- 280 Pre Surgery weight- 280 Weight today- 186 Total weight loss- 94 lbs Best thing about losing all the weight- I no longer make decisions based on my weight such as going to a party, sitting in plastic chairs, airplanes, etc.. Best compliment to date- They are all well received and none mean any less than the other.

Best compliment to date- Having my neighbor mistake me for the (skinny)20 year old girl that used to live with us. Wow, has it only been six months? I can't wait to see how we all are at 1 year! Deb

Name- Diana WI Surgery Date- December 13, 2003 Highest Weight- 514 Pre Surgery weight- 510 Weight today- 401 (2 weeks ago that is) Total weight loss- 109 SO FAR!!!! Best thing about losing all the weight- I FEEL GREAT AND FEEL I CAN TAKE ON THE WORLD AND DO MORE THAN I EVER COULD. Best compliment to date- "YOU ARE LOOKING REALLY GOOD, YOU HAVE LOST ALOT OF WEIGHT I CAN TELL". I have to add thank heavens for this group and for all those who support us; without them I wouldn't of made it this far. So keep up the good job all.

Hello Everyone- Name-Kathy B Surgery Date-12/10/03 Highest Weight-389 Pre Surgery weight-380 Weight today-270 (and stuck for almost a month) Total weight loss-119 Best thing about losing all the weight-High blood pressure, gone, cholestral, down and gone, was border line diabetic, gone, and no more pain in my knee's and back and sleep apnea gone. The list is endless, but that I feel almost normal again. I know I have a long way to go but I just love life again! That I go to the YMCA and feel so good about myself. That I can sit in a booth or a chair and not be miserable. Best compliment to date-When people use words like "skinny" and "thin" I never thought those words would be used when describing me. And, when I feel my DH staring at me and I ask "why" and he justs says "just looking." When my 13 year old nephew noticed and complimented me. And, I think when people say how brave and proud they are of me, those people I know aren't ones who judge this surgery. Each and every compliment I think I'll remember forever. Keep up the great work everyone!! The best is yet to come! And, to think back 5 and a half months ago, did we think we would feel this GREAT??!! Kathy
