Reality Check
Do you realize how much weight you've lost? I had to get salt for the water softener yesterday. As I was carrying two 40 pound bags down the stairs, it hit me that I've lost this much weight. I used to carry these things around ALL THE TIME!!!!!
Has anyone else picked up the amount of weight they've lost (or something close) and experienced what a huge difference it is to put it down all at once? No wonder we all feel so much better.
Have a great hump day,
Deb
I can't believe you carried BOTH 40 lbs bags at once???!!!!
I can barely carry 1 40lb bag of that darn $%#@%^ salt! Well actually ours is Potassium Chloride (ours is a softener and a treatment system)
So I guess I have carried my weight that I have lost JUST not all at once!!!
WOW that is HEAVY...how did I ever walk around with it?! NO wonder I was tired/worn out all the time.
NOW I just have 1 more bag to lose!
Think I will mention that to my hubby tonight!
I think about that a lot, when I pick up my kids! I have one daughter who is 55 pounds and it about breaks my back everytime I pick her up! Then I stop and think-just six short months ago I was carrying around two of her everyday~how did I do it then????? Amazing really!!! So glad I am not doing it anymore! Jesi
Good Morning All
I can relate too The other day I carried both my kids up the stairs, she is 34lbs and he is 23lbs, and thought to myself that I have lost almost twice this much weight and what a strain it had to be on my body to carry that weight all day-every day!
It is so good to put it into perspective. On a day to day basis I don't really realize how far I have come. At my 6 month post op appt they gave me a copy of my pre-op picture and I cried. I did not realize that I looked so bad.
Thanks for the reminder~we have all come so far in 6 short months

WOW! I have lost my whole daughter plus 13 pounds. I got on the scales today and have lost 93 total in six months.
When you really think about it, that is truly incredible and we are all getting depressed because the scales aren't moving faster. What an accomplishment we have all made in such a very short time.
Everyone give yourself a big pat on the back- we deserve it!
