Not a happy subject, but I do have a question on it. Has anyone ever heard of taking charcoal tablets for it to remove the odor? I knew of folks who took it, but I've never heard of any posties who can. Any ideas?

Hi Nona, I know this is probably a silly question. But what is Flatulance? I don't believe I've ever heard it before. Jill

Gas. You know, the 'farting' kind that is stinky? I have so much of it that I could melt a '57 Chevy in Denver while in LA. Charcoal tabs are taken by many to rid one of the odor, but I was wondering if one who is a postie could take it safely. Nona

Hi Nona, Never heard of charcoal for gas but there is something called Phazyme (not sure of the spelling) that is especially for gas. You can get it over the counter at any drug store. Just be careful with what you eat that has something to do with how much gas you get. (and how it smells) Like when I eat TCBY sugar free yogurt (it is awful, the gas I mean) Congrats on your 6 month anniversary. denise

Hi Nona- Funny, but this came up at my last support group meeting. The nurse from my surgeon's office said 9 times out 10, the gas is from something you are eating or doing. Veggies, sugar alchohols, fruit, will gas anyone up. The person who asked the question just happened to be drinking a Diet Pepsi out of a straw which more than likely was the culprit. But, to answer your question, I've never heard of the charcoal tab's- I'd check with your doctor first. Good Luck!! Kathy
