Haven't been on much...
Hello everyone,
Just a short update on my busy (but boring) life. I have not been online at all for the past couple of days. I am making a bimini top for my husbands boat for fathers day. The old one shredded from too much sun exposure even before he bought the boat. So, I am on the floor with huge pieces of cloth, sewing my little heart out. I am a bit frustrated now as I got the entire back piece done, then realized that I cut the vinyl window too small! Now I have to go back and buy more and try again tomorrow. I was hoping just to sew tomorrow. Too hot to go anywhere in Florida right now, it is in the HIGH 90's! MISERABLE, and HUMID!!!! Wouldn't you know it, my A/C in my car developed a leak and keeps running out of the cold making stuff (not freon, the new OZONE friendly stuff). Hope your Summer is more interesting than mine!
OK now you all have to update me on your lives!
Tracy
Hi Tracy, I've been absent lately too. Things have been a little hectic but nothing I can't handle. I am on a dreaded plateau for about 3 weeks now and I am so sick of it!! I leave for Myrtle Beach 6/22 and I was so hoping to be at 225 but the scale won't go below 231! It really gets irritating... Plus we have had nothing but scattered showers and cloudy days here in Kentucky and that is getting old. I hope the sun appears in Myrtle Beach. I talked to my brother in Florence, SC and he said that they are in a draught right now so hopefully it won't a whole lot while we are there. Well happy sewing!
Jill
Hi there Tracy, How are you doing? I have not been doing much here in N.Y. I bought a beach pass but the weather has not been so sunny . I do love the beach. I live right here just a few blocks from the ocean. I am getting my clothes together for my Philly Bash I go to every year. Other than that I have lost a good friend to cancer. I will be attending that wake today and funeral tomorrow.
My weight loss has kind of slowed down since I hit my GOAL. It seems I just can't hit that century mark. It's OK though.I have worked hard. to me. I have tried my best. I do feel better and now. That is the update on my life girl. Take care and enjoy life. Glad to hear from you...... Lorraine
Rain, I know it well! Florida is now in it's rainy season. So, that means whatever you plan to do, do it before about 2:00 or 3:00 in the afternoon or you WILL get rained on! It is probably the only thing that keeps our temperatures out of the 100's. My weight loss has nearly stopped again. It seems to go in spurts. But on the good side, according to Fitday.com, I am still right on track for losing all the weight I want by my goal date od December 12th.
Lorraine, so sorry to hear about your friend. I have lost people to cancer too. I don't care to ever go to another wake or funeral. But it's inevitable. :o( Have fun at your Philly bash! I will prolly be driving to South Carolina next week. My daughter wants to spend a month with my sister. She has a gorgeous "mansion" there. Hope the weather stays dry for the drive!!!! Tracy
Hiya Tracy
Aren't you handy with all your sewing! Good for you. The best I can do is sew buttons! Your hubby will be thrilled with all your hard work. Post us a picture of the finished product--since you did all the cushions and such as well! Would love to see how it turns out!
Me--school, house/yard work...finally have 2 weeks in a row at home on the weekend. SINCE I hope this is our last year here in Pennsylvania I am trying to go check out things we haven't done yet. We went to the Arts festival last weekend, checked out a new City Park and this weekend we are going to see a local band The Clarks at an outdoor concert venue along the riverfront (3 Rivers). There will be fireworks after the Pirates Game on Friday night so we get a double treat!
There is a chance we might head to West Virginia to see the In Law relatives for a "graduation party" for my Sister In Law but don't have any details or definite plans. The following weekend is JULY 4th!! We are going to Cedar Point and then heading down to Columbus OH to see their downtown area and celebrate July 4th on Friday July 2nd. Go figure! They have some sort of street festival along the river there. Hopefully we can enjoy the July 4th Fireworks at 3 Rivers one of THE best in the nation (we have a world famous firecracker maker family 1 hour north of town -Zambelli's so we get an awesome show from barges and roof tops etc.... ) BEST town I have ever lived in for Fireworks and several years ago we were in DC for theirs. THIS still tops it!!!
THEN I think we get a break til August. Haven't decided if we are going to the Rolling Rock Town Fair or not yet. It is close by so we probably will. Got a long list of things to see/do in the next 11 months.
