Ok...now that you have lost a good portion of weight are you seeing the ugly problem areas.....? I am talking about the floppy arms and inner thighs!!!!!!!!!!!! Not to mention the sagging extra tummy. Any how, I was wondering if anyone is doing something that is helping to firm up these areas? Bless my hubby's heart he thinks if I just work on those trouble spots they will tone up. I myselft don't think so....! I think plastic surgery is the only way these area's will be fixed? Karie -90

They will tone some, but you will still suffer from UADD....Under Arm Dingle Dangle. The same with the tummy and legs. I power walk every chance I get, 2 miles under 30 minutes and have Jello for the inside of my thigh. The rest is rock hard, but the inside, EWWWWWWW Reconstructive is probably the way you'll have to go, but wait a year after you stablize, to wait for any possible gain you may have. Nona

Hi there Karie, How are you? I have reached my goal of -92 lbs. I am now weighing 153 lbs from 245 lbs, Yes I am seeing alot of floppy skin. I am a nursing assistant so that was an advantage for me. MY arms and torso are very tight and also my stomach is not hanging just a bit loose. The problem I do have is very loose upper thighs. I joined CURVES and started working out but due to my knee giving me hell, I had to stop and take a 1 month leave until it feels better; I am no longer at Diabetic so I don't know how my healing will be if I do decide on plastic surgery. Under my chin is hanging a bit also. I will see how I feel when I have finally reached the Ideal Goal which is about 18 more pds to take me to 135lbs.. Have a good day...... KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. I definitely have the Under Arm Dingle Dangle...lol. If my clothes are on, I think I look pretty good but standing naked and looking in the mirror...YUCK! I need help with my upper thighs... wrinkles, wrinkles, wrinkles of extra skin. I have the hanging tummy ( I carried a lot of my weight in my tummy). My boobs need to get picked up off the ground too-- but that is another story. I would definitely say plastics are in my future or at least I hope it is! ~Rachel

For what it's worth, I was told that I could tone these areas up some, but once you get on the "mature" side of 40, the skin really loses it elasticity and just won't go away without plastics. Sure with there was some way we could get a group rate on plastic surgery! Deb

You guys gave me a good laugh! Nona, UADD....never heard that one. However, it is so true. Rachel, I know what you mean...the boobs are another story. I too think wow...when I am in my clothes but looking at myself naked....YIKES! thanks for your replies...Karie

I had to explain to my husband that FAT cells never go away...that I would NEED LIPOSUCTION to remove them and smooth things out in my thighs...and while I am in there might as well do the tummy People think you lose the weight and POOF no more problems.... uh nuh! as Michael Kyle would say on "my wife and kids" hysterical show by the way (irreverant Cosby Show or aka the way it really is) Can't you just exercise more and it will tighten up? ...yeah right...dream on! I still have a LOT of the fat in my belly area so hard to tell what is going on with that skin. The fat arms don't bother me as bad as the STRETCH marks you can see on the side of my upper arms heading towards my arm pitts. Otherwise I would be willing to wear tank tops in public (other than working in my yard)...but I have noticed that the area above my PUBIC bone/hair line seems to have a lot less elasticity there and has a bit of a "roll" but not quite flapping yet.

I also have the UADD (LOL) but I am not even considering plastic surgery I am just glad to be getting my health back and my energy level. I have lost 90 lbs so far. I had the surgery for the health not the looks! I just keep my clothes on!! Good Luck to every one that is considering plastic! Denise
