Good Morning everyone! I will try to come up with an easy QOD....let me see here.... What is your FAVORITE LOW CARB item???? Besides the obvious meats, veggies, etc...but what sort of specialty treat or replacement for reg. food do you really like??? For me it is the SOY chips I get from the Low Carb store. AND I am out of them right now...and craving them. UGH--long drive over to the TLC store. Carbsense makes them or is it Genisoy...I think it is the BLUE bag Carbsense ones that I like. OH boy this will be hard when I go back for a refill! I know where I am headed this weekend!!!!! Who cares about the construction and traffic...I need LOW CARB treats!! I tried the Low Carb EDGE cheese puffs yesterday....NOT exactly impressed. But they will do in a pinch when I need a crunchy/salty fix.

Hi there Shannon, I don't really count the low carbs when I eat. My food intake is very limited. If I want a treat I eat some Trader Joes Low Fat Cat Cookies. I also eat Veggie Sticks that I buy there. I eat alot of protein and now veggies a bit, but my carb intake is very low. Good Question..... Have a good day....Lorraine

Hi Shannon, I am hoping to get ideas from your quesiton . I usually snack on Soy Nuts (my new craving) or sesame seeds. Once in a while I'll have a rice cake with p-nutter on it. My biggest snack is the Carb Countdown yogurts because they are high in protein and low in carbs. Thanks, Jill

Good Morning My newest favorite is an ATKINS "candy bar" (can't remember the name) that taste like a payday. It has nuget center with carmel and peanuts. They do have 150cal, 2net carbs and 7g protien (don't quote me-Im out of these yummy treats and doing this from memory ) I have really been into peanuts lately. They are good protien, low carb, but do have lots of fat. Have a great day!!! Kimberly

MIne is Triscuits with some blueberries. usually four or five with half a cup of the blue fruit. DOn' t care much for the taste of soy chips and stuff. Can't eat nuts, diverticulitus. On a side point, It's my 25th wedding anniversary today and I'm taking off work early to cook my DH his fav dinner: shake n bake pork chops, baked sweet potato and cheese peas. (Frozen peas, steamed, with a little of shredded fav cheese melted on the top. HIs is Pepper Jack) I'm going to throw in a cake for him. I"m not a cake person, so I won't be tempted. NOna

CONGRATS on the HUGE wedding milestone!!!! I hope HE is doing something nice for you after you prepare that WONDERFUL sounding meal!! mmmmmm Now what do I want for dinner?! Too bad on the nuts....I love my sunflower seeds, peanuts and well you get the idea....almost all of them!! Triscuits with blueberries sounds quite intetesting....not sure how that would taste to me. I normally get the Garden Herb ones...and blueberries definitely wouldn't go well....but plain ones..hmmm salty and sweet. PLUS crunch. This might work. I normally smear mine with braunschweiger (liver pate type stuff) but fruit might do just fine! HAVE a wonderful ROMANTIC night!

Yoplait just came out with a low carb yogurt and I bought some today... 9g of protein and I am dying to try the blueberry. I get my Dannon Carbcontrol yogurts (strawberries n' cream and the vanilla) I love these. I do sunflower seeds too... I love to sprinkle them on my salad too! String cheese is filling and quick and easy snack. I will eat a hand full of wheat thins with some cheese or peanut butter...yummy!! ~Rachel

I'm a beef jerky and pork rind kinna girl! Oh and Hot boiled peanuts too! Gee, you would think I was from the south or something! Just a tip, you can buy hot boiled peanuts in a can and or bag at your gorcery store and they taste almost like the home made kind. ALSO, BIG PLUS... they help lower your cholesterol! Something about boiling them does it. WHO KNEW?! Try them they are GoooooooooooooooooD! Tracy
