stalling....grrrrr!~
I'm on a 9 day stall. I lost 6 lbs. the first 8 days of this month (my 5th month, starting on May 18) and now I have stalled for 9 days! My goal was to loose 10 lbs. this month which is still attainable but every day that goes by makes me worried. I think I have had extra salt the last couple days....could account for it. Today, I'm going to drown in water and maybe just do salads with protein for lunch and supper. Also, someone said eating an avacado will help and the times I've done it, indeed I usually loose. I hope to get an extra walk in today too. I DON'T want this to stop yet!!!!

Try eating more.. I was stalling too, then I decided to try to get 1000 calories in a day (my surgeon wants us getting 1000 to 1500 daily) it was hard, and it took me several days of trying before I made it to 1000 last sunday. (and I haven't gotten back there since) But oh my! as soon as I got the calories up (and thus my protein higher as well) pounds started just falling off of me. 6 lbs in a week! This is from someone who would usually lose 2 a week, (and sometimes it was even less than that!)
I just wanted to let my body know it wasn't starving, and it seemed to work wonders! I didn't do anything else different, no extra water, no extra exercise, no protein shakes, no cutting carbs, (my doc allows them in moderation) I just focused on getting the calories up, and it worked!
Patricia,
I've actually been eating 1000 calories a day for some time now......probably close to 2 months.....ocassionally up to 1200. I have very little trouble getting that in. I am VERY good about what I choose, starting with protein, then fresh fruit and veggies. I don't eat many carbs at all though I do have popcorn, which I think I will stop for a while. So I'm a little reluctant to up my calories......I'm hoping this is just a normal thing.....the longest stall I've had to date was 11 days. I had another one that was also 9 days so I know that a person can still have good losses after a stall....it is just so frustrating to be in one. Thanks for the idea but I'm afraid I'm already gobbling down that many calories!
