Am I ready?

Hey everyone! Hope everyone is doing great. It is sunny and no rain today- YEAH!! One thing that I missed so much being severly morbidly obese was no rides at the amusement parks. The first thing on my "to do" list once I lost weight was a roller coaster. I started this journey at 389 and I am now at 268- which I am sooooo happy about. But, just everyone's opinion, do you think by August I'll be ready for Cedar Point (the Walt Disney to us northern folk- hee hee). I really don't want to go and face the ultimate embarassment of having to get off of the ride because I'm still too "fluffy." Keep up the great work everyone! Take Care, Kathy

Hi Kathy, I would certainly think that you would be ready for the rides. You could call the park and find out what the maximum weight is for the majority of the rides. It wouldn't hurt to check. Jill

Hi Kathy, It really depends on your height and how your weight is distributed. I was big around the middle and 4'11" so at about 205-210 I could not fit on them anymore. If you are really tall, there should be no problems! But I too would call ahead to check the size requirements for the rides to save any unneccesary embarrassment. Some places have seats outside the rides that you can "try on for size" before actually getting in the lines for the rides too! I am a coaster-hollic! Love 'em! Best of luck to you! Tracy
