I mow.
I can't beleive this but this is the 2nd time in 5 yrs of living in this house I have mowed the grass. I actually like mowing but after gaining the weight I did I didn't have the energy anymore. I only did it today since they are talking about rain this evening and I know my dh will rush hoem to mow the lawn. I could only do the front before my asthma started acting up. I guess I need to wear a mask so I can breath when I mow.I really feels good to get out there do something I want to do but never had the energy to do. I just wish I was so uncomfortable driving the riding mower, then I wouldn't get so many blisters on my hands.
We don't have a rider But last week or maybe two weeks ago...I too thought I would help hubby out and I mowed for the first time in my whole life......It made me work up a sweat, but it felt so good finally doing it......My energy is slowly gaining for things like that.......It was pretty sad though.....I was out there trying my hardest to start the damn thing when my almost 5 year old came up to me and said mommy you have to hold the bar in....then wigggle this nob...then like pull this one like 5 times.......Sure enough it worked I couldn't believe it....my 5 year old girl knows more about the mower than me!!!!! Have a great night Jesi
I love mowing. We have about a third of an acre and about half has to be done with a push mower. I do it every Friday or Saturday. Won't let the DH touch the mower any more. He works 70 hrs a week, and I only work 40, so it's only fair. Then he gets the rider out for the field. I love doing that. IT's fun. He says he really appreciates my help and that I do as good a job, if not better, than he. He's such a doll.
We have our 25th anniversary coming up on next Thursday and I am going to get him something special. We're going to Niagra Falls for a day trip. His idea. He's a closet romantic. But he loves his power tools, so its a hammer drill and a recip. saw for him. He'll just drool for an hour over these puppies.
