Calling all December 1 post ops!
Hello Everyone, We are the first ones of the month. Just a little reflection.... I am not sorry at all that I had the surgery done. Although, yesterday I got sick for the first time in a LONG time . Not exactly sure what happened but it did. The weight loss has definately slowed but what really is annoying is when I get my period I gain about 5 pounds and then it takes about a week just to lose that. However all in all it's been great. God has truly blessed me and I want to give Him all the praise because without Him I just would not have done as well. Hope to hear from all of my other December 1st friends.

Hi there Jill, Happy 6 month anniversary to you. I do not have an anniversary until June 15th but I am wishing you the best. to you. You have done a great job on your weight loss.
I will not get on the scale until Friday June 4th when I see my Dr. I feel like but weigh in time is here. The scales can make me a bit nutsy Good Luck on your day and remember that this is the day you made the best decision of your life.. Lorraine
Hello December 1st buddy!
I too feel truly blessed to have gone through WLS. God is good. I can't believe 6 months has gone by....then other times it feels like the time is creeping by (when the pounds aren't coming off).
My weight loss has been slow since the very beginning, but I really believe I may be better off in the long run. My skin is saggy, but not nearly as bad as it could be. My friend and I call it "the RNY look"
I exercise 5x a week, eat all my protein and get all my water in. This is the most effort I have ever put into losing weight, but in the past, the weight would not have come off! At least now it is, even though it is slower than most post-ops.
I look and feel better than I have in years, praise God. I thank Him for the chance to get my life back and to stop wasting it away.

Congratulations Jill and Lisa and any other Dec. 1's! That 6 month anniversary is a biggie! I have 18 days to go for mine and am glad I still have some days left to loose a little more!
You both are doing great. For me, I want to celebrate 6 mo. and then keep doing everything the same.....I don't want to get "sloppy" in my habits. I think that knowing I still have a ways to go will keep me on track!
I'm happy for both of you!!

Hey Jill!!
Six months sure has flown by. I wake up each day and still feel (mentally) that I just had this surgery a couple of weeks ago. I feel absolutely wonderful and I too have never worked so hard at losing my weight. I think actually seeing the results makes me want to work even harder!! I am not always getting in all of my protein but I do try to every day and I usually get pretty close. I went for my early 6 month check up and I had lost 12 pounds more than my doctor thought I would by 6 months so I think I'm doing really well. I still have 25 more pounds to go and I don't want to stop until I get there!
I have the saggy skin syndrome too and you know what... I don't care b/c I am able to do things that this time last year wouldn't have even crossed my mind! Once I get to goal... I start thinking about plastics... until then-- I have to work for this last bit of weight to come off!
We are all doing so well and it is so nice to have other people know exactly whats going and being able to compare notes!!

It didn't dawn on me until I saw your post that today was my 6 month anniversary. I have had so much going on in the family that I forgot. My oldest turned 16 today and my 14 year year old is graduating from 8th grade and I have been very involved in his banquet which is tonight.
I have been keeping a photo journal of my progress so I will have to use this evening as a photo opportunity when we are all dresses up. I have a new outfit that I am excited about.
Life is wonderful these days!
Congratulations to all my 12/1 buddies.
