WHEW! 5 pounds down
Well guys the increase in protein seems to have helped me. I lost five pounds since 5/25/04. Hopefully this will continue. I don't want to post a new photo until I reach 200 pounds because I can't really see a significant change in myself even with a loss of 72 pounds. My husband swears that I have changed but I don't see it yet. Guess in my mind I will always weigh 280. Anyway just an update about the weight loss. You guys and gals have a fabulous Memorial DAY!
Hello Lisa,
It took me to about 70 pounds to reall see a difference in myself. That is when I started feeling kind of "normal". I now feel like I can fit in just about anywhere and not be the fattest person in the room for once. You should take monthly photos, that is how I keep track, you can't see it on yourself on a daily basis, but comparing month to month really helps! Have a great weekend! Great job on the 5 pounds!!! Wish I could do that! Tracy
Hi there Lisa, Happy Holidays to you. I will try more protein and maybe...... it will work for me also. I can just about get that one drink in. So I know I am getting 20 grms in right off the bat.
I was so happy when I got to 199 also. Good Luck to you. Our 6 month anniversary is coming up soon. For me it will be on 6/15/04. I am now down 90 lbs, and if I dont get to the Century Mark I am still happy .
Again enjoy your holiday, be safe and make good food choices. I will try to also.. I just need to remember NO MEAT! tAKE CARE...LORRAINE
Lisa,
I had a very hard time not seeing the fat woman staring back at me in the mirror. My husband seemed to be able to tell the difference but I just couldn't. I was walking in to Wal-Mart one day and noticed this little thing in the door (not the sliding one) and as I got closer... I realized it was me! I stood there like a fool looking at my reflection. My hubby laughed when I told him what happened... I know people thought I was narcissistic (sp?) just standing there looking at myself... but I just couldn't help it!! I finally could see the weight loss. I guess what I'm saying is that I bet we would notice a big difference! It just takes our minds a little bit to catch up with everyone else's eyes!!

I had the same kind of experience but it was in Lowe's at a full length mirror. I just stared and stared. My husband finally found me and asked what in the world was I doing. When I told him that I have finally seen myself as a "normal" person he laughed. It is funny how the mind can play tricks on you.
