Goals!
I know we all set goals for ourselves.. Well so far I have acheived 2.. The first was to be able to shave my legs without straining.. And the second was to shop in the non plus size dept at the store.. Well my next goal is to be down 100 pounds by my 6 month anniversary. Well as of today
I ONLY HAVE 15 POUNDS TO GO!!!!!!!! .. I can't believe I'm that close. The last 2 months have been a real bad loosing experience. I guess the honeymoon is over so to speak.. If im going to get the rest of this weight off Im going to have to work it off. Send those loosing vibes my way. Im going to need them. Love yall Kim
I totally understand! I went on ortho-vera and my weight loss came to a standstill. After just 2 weeks on it, I decided to come off of it and my weight loss started again...but I was at that just over 200 pound mark. So, the last week and a half I have been doing protein shakes for breakfast and dinner and a regular lunch, and exercising and trying to get in all my fluids and as of this morning I have made it to 199! I am hoping and praying that I don't fluctuate and go back over the 200 mark. I've worked so hard to get to 199. My surgeon's goal for me to be considered successful is 169 (I would no longer be obese, but just overweight), and that isn't too far off. My personal goal is 140...but since my starting pre-op weight (before I started the process of trying to have surgery) was 336, I am feeling pretty good about it. I've lost 137...and only have 59 to go to get to goal, my goal. When I had my psych eval, the psych asked me my goal and I said 140 and he raised his eyebrowns and asked me realistically what I'd be happy with. I tell you, if I do make it to goal, I am going to his office to share it with him...that I did make it (lol).

Hello Kim,
Must be something about month 4 and 5 that we all seem to be losing more slowly! UGH! The goal that I have in my calendar I think I set it about 3 months ago is to be 173 by my 6 month anniversary. I am now 180 (went up 2 pounds) and with the way weight loss has been my hopes are dwindling as to whether I will make it or not! We have a new gym that will be built just about 1 mile from my house soon (real soon I hope) I plan on joining that since it is SO CLOSE! (Hey you people hurry up and get that gym built!) So I am hoping to see more loss when I start the gym. I am still waiting for one of those days that everyone talks about when you wake up and have lost 3-5 pounds in one night! Haven't had one yet! I sure need one now. I need that boost in confidence! Keep up the great work! Tracy
my first goal was to be down 50 pounds, that took 2 months. My second goal was to be under 175, that took 4 and a half months. My next goal is to be at goal by the end of July, my birthday, but I still have 30-35 pounds left to loose by then, that would put me at 7 and a half months out then, think it's possible?

Goal# 1 Well the other night my boyfriend and I went out to get something to eat and it was freezing in the place so he says Do you want my jacket.. And Right away I said no... ( because in the past I have never been able to wear a Boyfriends clothing Ever) But I was so cold I was like maybe I could just put it around my shoulders... So I did and while it was there I thought to myself. It feels big So let me try it. I put myarms in it and It fit... I was thrilled inside.. Of course I didn't say anything to him.. But It felt sooo Good...
Hi, it's the newbie again! I am feeling so normal just reading your posts!
My goals were:
1. To go in Cato's or Wal-Mart and not have to go to the Plus sizes. (I still head towards there out of habit, I guess but it feels so good to go to the "skinny" section!
2. To lose 75 pounds (what the doctor told me I would probably loose total). I met that last week. I have lost 78.
3. To get into a size 12. My 12's have gotten too big!!!!! so 10's here I come. I really fell out in the dressing room of Old Navy the other day. My husband thought I'd seen a snake or something I hollered so loud. I put my butt in a size 8 and they FIT!!! (okay, I know Old Navy runs big, but who cares, the tag says an 8)
4. My next goal is to lose 40 more pounds. Everyone looks at me like I am crazy since I am 5'9 but I just tell them they don't see me naked! Ha/Ha, fat hides well under those jeans! My goal weight now is 140.
Congrats to all of you on your achieved goals and here's to our soon to be achieved ones!
