In need of your support

It has been a really bad week. My mother had an MRI monday and was diagnosed with a Brain Aneurysm. She lives in SC ( about 2 hours from me ) since I work at a hospital and know the neurosurgeons I drove to SC and brought my mom back home with me. She is scheduled for surgery this Monday morning. My mother is my best friend. We talk every single day. I know she is in good hands, but if something happens to her, I just don't know that I could handle it. Please keep us in your thoughts and pray for her and her surgeons.

Laura, Sorry to hear about your mother. I know it is hard but at least she is with you and you are able to take care of her and spend time with her since she is with you. It is wonderful that you were able to do that. My mom was my best friend tooo....and I don't think anyone has ever taken her place in my heart. Just keep thinking positive thoughts and keep us posted on her progress. How long is the procedure/hospital stay?? Shannon

Thank you so much Shannon. I am trying to stay as positive as I can. More for her sake than for mine. The surgeon said that procedure would take 3-5 hours and she would be in ICU for a day then she would stay 4 to 5 days after that. She is in pretty good spirits today, of course I think the Xanax the surgeon gave her an Rx for has something to do with that.

Laura, i will pray for you mom and you.....i know how you feel about your mom. my mom is my best friend and we talk a couple times a day....she is having health problems now and i worry about her alot...she is one of my main supporters on my weightloss and surgery...so i try to be her support on her weightloss and her health issues....best wishes to you and your mom..... Thank you all so much for caring. It means so much knowing that there are people that care about you even though we have never met in person. You all are great.

Stopping to pray right now. I hate worrying and wish I was able to stop it when I do it. Try to imagine the best happening instead of the worst. I know with the people that I love every second with them is precious to me and I let them know it. God bless.
