Q.O.D. May 13th
Woohooo I finally got here to post the Question of the Day. So here it goes.
Vacation season is upon us how many of you are planning to get out and about more this year. Since your new weight loss who has already decided to leave that big cover up t-shirt behind this year? Is anyone brave enough to get out that 2 piece? Have you already been shopping for this years bathing suit?
Well since my new loss I have traded my t-shirt cover up for a beautiful around the waist wrap. Yes I have a waist. I will not be pulling out the 2 piece.. I have my beautiful memories of my children wrapped around my mid section other wise known as Stretch marks. So I have purchased 3 bathing suits for this summer (onepiece) I bought 3 different sizes one is an 18 and the other is 16 and the bravely 14.. Goal by the end of this summer. Going to Florida May 22nd.. Can't wait.. Look out Panama City Beach
Hope everyone has a beautiful day!
Good Morning Kim,
Bathing suits! UGH!!! Been looking for one for months! Too big or too small or doesn't cover this or shows that or won't hide this....UGH! I have tried two pieces (scar shows, hidious scar courtesy of my (not so skilled at closing) surgeon) I have to have one with a skirt or a pareo as my thighs look aweful!!! I DID actually just buy one off of ebay, brand new, tags on, $70 for $5.99! Really cute leopard print skirted suit with skinny straps. I already have a two piece that I wear only in my yard to sun myself in but it is way too big now and a pink skirted suit that I wear when I go to the beach, but I wanted a new one. The pink one I have had for years, I can't imagine how I ever fit my size 28 A$$ into that size 18 suit! But it actually FITS now. Still on the quest for the perfect suit though, I really want one without a skirt and get a matching pareo. Please, Please Thighs, firm up!!! Please?! Tracy
Hi there Kim,
Well...Lets see if I can answer these questions for you.
As a large women I really showed my butt off on the beach.
I was very comfortable in my bathing suit. I atteneded Philly Bash every year in July. It was a gathering of all BBWS ( big beautiful women) and we had a blast.
This year I seem to have a lot of loose skin from the weight loss so I am a bit embarrassed to wear it.... but I am attending the Bash this yr and I will wear a bathing suit. I might wear a 2 piece but with the midriff kind. I decided loose skin or not I am not
I have not bought a bathing suit until next month. If i purchase one this month I will buy it smaller.
I will be going away like I said in July so next month or if I am brave enough I will go and get my bathing suit.
I dont know if any of you guys have veins in your legs but since my weight loss they seem to protrude out more. I went for a consultation with a vascular surgeon who says that in September she will remove them, the large ones and take out with laser the smaller ones
EVERYONE HAVE A GOOD DAY TO YOU ALL.....LORRAINE
I want to find a nice attractive bathing suit, but thus far I have not been that lucky! I am still looking. I bought a couple last year on great clearance sales, but that was pre-surgery and I have worn each of them once and they are way too big now. Both are a 24, so I need to get a new one. I just am not sure what size to get. Clothing wise I am anywhere between a 16-20. I am tempted to go with a 16 since bathing suits do stretch and I will continue losing weight and it will continue to fit better as the summer goes on....but I just haven't found the right one. I have one saved in my favorites that I found on Chadwick's (I think) website)...and it is very reasonably priced. I just want one that has good support on the top and I don't know about showing off these thighs with the skin...I might NEED to invest in a wrap. Anyway...we'll see. At least I would be able to get into a 16 as opposed to a 28-30 last year at this time!

Bathing Suits !
Yikes.. still a little scary isnt it? But seriously, I did buy 2 suits for the season.. If you have the spring/summer JCPenney catalog look on pages 83-85.. i got the board shorts in black and turquoise, and the striped racer back tankini top to match the turquiose bottoms and the black v-neck tankini top ... in size XL and they fit.. A far cry from my size 26 one piece that I tried my best to keep covered by jogging shorts last swim season..
Have a great day..
Elaine
Okay... with my thighs a bit jiggly I don't look fantastic in my swimsuit but I have worked hard to get where I am and I am going to enjoy wearing my new suit--regardless of my thighs...lol.
I just bought a new suit and it is a one piece, it is kind of cut high on the thigh and its purple (a pretty purple not yuck). My husband laughed at me because its a SPEEDO brand suit and it is a size 12! I was so lucky to find it b/c it even has a bra built into it, that way I don't have to worry about my boobs floating out or drooping down into my tummy area! I am taking it to the Arlington Conference this weekend... it is supposed to be rainy though and I hope I get a chance to wear it!

You know, it's strange, but I was WAY more self-conscious wearing a bathing suit in public when I was skinnier than I EVER was at my highest weight. At some point, I just said "**** it, I'm going to have my fun like everybody else", and I DID!
So now I'm going on this all-girls cruise (my WHOLE office!! ) in July, and I gotta get a suit! And I WILL be wearing it, floppies and all! And I don't care if my thighs slap over my knees, or my arms, ( I measured - they now hang down 6 inches!! ) scare small children, I WILL BE WEARING my $25 K-Mart bathing suit at the pool, and GOD HELP any person who makes a comment. Batwings make great weapons!
I'll be buying a bea -U- tiful. expensive suit when I reach goal. Custom-made for my new chest, and super-suctioned fanny. Then watch - I'll never go out in public in it!!
