Drinks?
Hello Julie,
I have had a few drinks since surgery. I pretty much keep to what I drank before...Rum and coke, only the coke now is diet. I have had Canadian mist and Captain morgan also. I mix the drinks EXTREMELY weak, about 1-2 capfuls per 8 oz of mixer and ice. Only about two of those at a time. I am gradually increasing to see what I can tolerate. So far no problems. I have never been one of hangovers etc. so, I still am not. Next time I have decided to mix a near regular drink and try alcohol for REAL! Good luck, Try your first at HOME so you find out what it will do to you close to your own toilet and away from crowds. Tracy
Hi there Julie, I used to be a beer drinker. Now I cannot drink it . It seems to blow me right up after a few sips. I have switched my drink to Amaretto and milk. That stays down well for me. I guess the milk coats my stomach..... Hard alcohol ... No way ... But you know what Julie??? I get feeling woosy real fast now..... Dont need so much anymore to feel it... Take care LORRAINE
Nope, no hard drinks for me yet. Tried some wine. Feh. Vanessa's right, I can live without it for now.
Speaking of ulcers - were you all advised NOT to take any anti-inflammatories? Advil, Aleve, etc. can easliy give us ulcers, I am told, along with some vitamin/mineral supplements (such as Potassium, as I found out the hard way!). Don't let it happen to YOU!
