Hello everyone, I thought that I would update you all on the day at Busch Gardens. We got there at about 11 am and the company had a luncheon all set up for the employees of my husbands company. Much nicer than usual, hot dogs, hamburger and chips is what we usually get, this time it was the same hot dogs and hamburgers, but they had potato salad, fresh fruit, baked beans etc. We got an indoor air conditioned room for the first time, due to construction. (yay) We had lunch, they did a raffle (won nothing) then we were off to ride the rides. I had no problem fitting on anything and the most amazing to me were the turnstyles that I always had to SQUEEZE through, I had no problems, it didn't even touch me! WOO HOO ! Hotter than H E Double hockeysticks, high 80's or low 90's with a humidity of about 900%! All in all a nice day. I realized that I really can't tolerate the heat any better yet. I'm hoping that will improve. All tuckered out at the end of the day. We stayed about 8-9 hours. Walking the entire time, or standing in line. I didn't lose an ounce! GRRRR!!! Hope everyone had a great Mother's day weekend! Tell me about yours! Tracy

Hi Tracy, Wow!! Sounds like the amusement park trip post op WLS dreams are made of!!! (well I know mine are anyway )That is soooo cool that you could go and fit on everything and walk around all day!!! I can't wait to go to Six Flags this summer! I may even attempt a water park in late August. My mother's day was pretty good. I was tired from a late night of dancing at the club on Sat. night, but still had a good day. My friend's sister got discharged around noon from her RNY. I picked her up and we all went to their house for a mother's day BBQ. I did mostly good! I ate chicken, steak, a bite of potatoe salad, a bite of macoroni salad, and some baked beans. I also snacked on some crackers and french onion dip. The re-visited the steak and chicken later in the day and had a spinach and chicken salad for dinner. It was nice just to be surrounded by my kids, and good friends. Good luck on your weight, maybe all that walking will metabolize some ounces by today I don't know about mine cause me and my scale aren't speaking!!!! Have a good Monday!!!! Shawna

Tracy - I wanna go now! I haven't been to an amusement park in years. First because my DH doesn't like the rides, and then for the "usual fat girl reasons." I'm gonna have to volunteer to take my 13 year old nephew and his buddies sometime this summer. I bet I'll be the coolest aunt around for that, and get to have fun to boot! Yes, this is going to be a great summer for us all! Deb

I was really expecting the HEAT sickness to have dissipated (however you spell it) but working out in the yard the other weekend proved me wrong. I can never live too far south again! My doggies gave me a Mother's Day Card I called my Step Mom in Japan to say Hi (they are moving back to the states May 18th) And surprisingly it didn't bother me that my mom isn't alive to share the day with. Am I a horrible person or after 15 years do you just not get that worked up anymore??? We were so busy cleaning house for the arrival of my Aunt on Wednesday that I am just now realizing I didn't really think any about it....even after my husband called his mom last night. nothing.

Hi Tracy, Sounds like you had a great day! I am so glad that everything went ok. I'm going to Myrtle Beach in 6 WEEKS and I plan on riding the rides with the kids. I am so excited... Anyway, my mother's day was very nice. Started out with a 30 min walk, went to church, went to the movies with my daughter (she treated, 22 yr old) then met my husband and son (15 yr old) for dinner at Appleby's. Took an hour nap , which I rarely do but thought it would be nice. Then went back to evening church. It was a nice restful day and we had a good time. Called my mom in NJ and had a hard time tracking her down but finally talked to her around 7:30. All in all a nice day. Happy Monday to everyone!! Jill
