New to the December site!

WOW! I didn't realize this site existed until today. Where have I been? I usually go to the MI site and read all the postings but I don't post much myself. I have been a little down as it seems my weight loss isn't going as fast as I would like. It seems that lately I have gained and lost the same 2 lbs over and over and over! After reading some of the post here I don't feel so bad. I will tell you a little about myself. My name is Nancy, married to John for 22 years with 2 grown children(David-21 and Leighsa-19). We live in Gladwin, MI but are trying to move back down to the Clio area. I had surgery 12-1-03 at Henry Ford by Dr. Carlin. I had lap. I have not had any complications and surgery was a breeze for me. The doctors and staff at Henry Ford have been great. My highest weight was 234 and I am at 156. I am so glad that I did this. I am looking forward to getting to know all of you! Nancy

Thanks Tracy, I am 5'3" and my goal weight is 120-125. Of course I want a tummy tuck when I get to that weight so maybe a little less??!! Thanks for the welcome. Nancy

Hi Nancy, so glad to have you on the Decemberite board. I have the same surgery date as you, I started at 311 and am now at 237, down 74 pounds. Sounds like you are doing a great job keep up the good work! I'll look forward to hearing more from you. I guess you read my post from the other day, I lost 2 pounds, gained it, lost it, gained and lost it again and then some. I know how discouraging it can be. I think a lot of us in this stage are going through the same things. That's why this board is so GREAT! Everyone here is so friendly and nice to talk to. Welcome Aboard!! Jill 311/237/170?

Hi Nancy!! I had my surgery on Dec 1st too! I am just a couple of inches shorter than you but we have the same goal weight...mine was set by my doctor. I started at 230 the day of surgery and today I am 155!! We both seem to be doing really well! I can't believe we are already within 30 to 35 pounds of our goal!! How exciting!! Hi Nancy and welcome to the brave souls who had surgery last December. I had lap 12/15/03, Fort Lauderdale, FL. I'm 12 pounds from my goal, having lost 84 pounds to date. I have been a fast loser with no complications. God has blessed me beyond measure........ Married nearly 32 years to the wonderful man who made me a mother of three great children!
