Phil's Reunion!!!

As you know my son, Phil, came home from college yesterday. I met him in the driveway and was so shocked. He has lost 106 pounds in less than 5 months. He is 6'4" and now looks even taller. I can get my arms all the way around him. He isn't my big bear anymore. He is my tall thin bear. We went shopping last night and each got a few outfits, and to my surprise I was a size 14. I haven't seen the scale move in a few weeks, so I wasn't even considering that size. Phil went to a doc. apt. about 1/2 hour after he got back and is doing great. He needs to get his labs done, but the surgeon said he seems fine. He was shocked by me new looks too, but I had sent him pictures during this time, so it wasn't as much as a surprise. I showed him this message board, but being a young man, he thinks it's just for ladies. I told him there are a lot of guys who come here too. He said if he needs a support group he will talk to me. I know I need you all. Thanks for being there. Karen

How excited you must have felt when he got out of that car! The 106 pounds he lost must have made him look a lot different. I am so happy for the both of you and I know that you will continue your weight loss and reach those goals! Congrats Karen! Have fun during your "reunion" ~Rachel
