HOW ARE YOU SLEEPING THIS MONTH? I think sleep was harder to get in the beginning but is starting to come a little easier.
ARE YOU EXERCISING? Not as much as I should!
WHAT TYPE OF EXERCISE ARE YOU DOING? I bought a thigh machine and am using that to tone up.
HOW IS YOUR HAIR LOSS? Still going strong! I'm surprised it is not noticable! (KNOCK WOOD it stays not noticable!)
HOW IS YOUR WEIGHT LOSS (SINCE 4 MONTH ANNIVERSARY?) Weight loss has been extremely slow!!! Pretty much at a stand still until today. SO far since the 12th of last month, I have only lost about 4 pounds!!! UGH!
WHAT SIZE ARE YOU WEARING NOW? Size 18, I started out as a 28!
ARE YOU KEEPING UP WITH YOUR VITAMINS AND FLUID INTAKE? Trying very hard to. They are so hard to remember, I don't know why. Fluid, dong better with that.
WHAT TYPE OF FOODS ARE YOU EATING NOW? I usually have a carb countdown smoothie or protein shake in the am, Lunch can either be a shake or something like cottage cheese (I find the 2% breakstone individuals are much easier to tolerate and always fresh as you open them as you want them. Also, if you hate the consistancy, crush up something crunchy into them. I do two pringles chips, helps A LOT! Or beef jerky if I am rushed. Dinner is just about anything. Alwasy protein first, maybe a few veggies. I think I still like beef the most but chicken is a close second.
HOW OFTEN DO YOU EAT PER DAY? I eat three meals per day.
DO YOU SNACK? ON WHAT? Beef Jerky, sometimes a SF popsicle, I hear macadamia nuts were good for us, I thought I might try those soon.
Trying to keep us honest and accountable I see (lol).
HOW ARE YOU SLEEPING THIS MONTH? Pretty good, no real complaints, but I still have trouble because I remember so many more of my dreams than I did pre-op and sometimes I feel like I've been up all night because of this and feel tired in the morning.
ARE YOU EXERCISING? Yes. I don't go to Curves three times a week like they recommend. I am lucky to get it in 2X a week, but I also ride my exercise bike at home and do stretching and sometimes go for a walk at work.
WHAT TYPE OF EXERCISE ARE YOU DOING? see above
HOW IS YOUR HAIR LOSS? it's not too bad. I can't tell that my hair is thinner, but I do lose a good bit in the shower.
HOW IS YOUR WEIGHT LOSS (SINCE 4 MONTH ANNIVERSARY?) SLOW. I have lost 5 pounds since the 9th of April.
WHAT SIZE ARE YOU WEARING NOW? It really depends. I can wear anywhere from a 16 to a 20, depending on the garment.
ARE YOU KEEPING UP WITH YOUR VITAMINS AND FLUID INTAKE? Pretty much. I am probably better about this than anything else.
WHAT TYPE OF FOODS ARE YOU EATING NOW? Well, I eat pretty much what I want...in moderation, but I am careful to consider the fat content and the carb content. I drink a shake for breakfast and eat meals for lunch and dinner, generally.
HOW OFTEN DO YOU EAT PER DAY? 3 times.
DO YOU SNACK? ON WHAT? Occasionally...usually a sf popsicle/fudgicle, although I sometimes have a "bad" snack...a sf miniature reeses or something like that. I watch the calories most on my snacks. It's easy to add a lot of calories, sugar and fat easily in snacks.

I am sleeping fine,I have a few things on my mind but sleeping is OK.
I am exercisng at Curves , I try to go at least 3 times a week. sometimes I am lazy.
My hair loss has eased up, Maybe because I have short hair, I dont notice but it is very thin
My weight loss is great . I am down 85 pounds now.
I am now just getting into a size 12, I am very happy about it. I find the good stuff very cheap. I dont want to spend too much if the weight loss has not stablized.
Next question is.... I do take my vitamins the way I am supposed to. I take in my protein about50 grm a day...but the fluids are hard and have always been for me.
I do eat three times a day, I try to have 2 snacks also. I like to snack on trader joes veggie sticks and their small cookies .. they are great . Do have a good day :thumbsuo: to us ...LORRAINE
HOW ARE YOU SLEEPING THIS MONTH? Oh my, I sleep VERY well. But I no longer need naps like I did pre-surgery. I had sleep apnea and couldn't even drive an hour without stopping for a nap....but that isn't a problem at all now. I sleep well and then go, go, go all day.
ARE YOU EXERCISING? Absolutely....to me it is the key to success. I walk at least 2 miles a day and sometimes do that up to 3 times a day.
WHAT TYPE OF EXERCISE ARE YOU DOING? walking, mowing lawn with push mower.
HOW IS YOUR HAIR LOSS? none to date....one day a few weeks ago I thought I was loosing an excessive amount but just as quick as it started, it stopped again. I've even colored my hair twice and had it permed once since surgery.
HOW IS YOUR WEIGHT LOSS (SINCE 4 MONTH ANNIVERSARY?) I'm very happy with it. I've lost 10 lbs. since my 4 mo. anniversary and that was my goal for the month....and I still have 13 days left! I'm only 2 lbs. away from what I lost in month 3 and month 4....so I hope to possibly even surpass those months.
WHAT SIZE ARE YOU WEARING NOW? Well, the RIGHT size is mostly 16, some 18's but I'm wearing a lot of bigger tops just because I only have a very few in the right size. My 18 pants (1 black, 1 blue, 1 jeans) are ALL too big but I'm still wearing them.
ARE YOU KEEPING UP WITH YOUR VITAMINS AND FLUID INTAKE? I do great with fluids and pretty good with vitamins. I'm known to forget once in a while but try not to.
WHAT TYPE OF FOODS ARE YOU EATING NOW? green salads with protein (eggs, sunflower seeds, etc.), cottage cheese, lite fruit, avacados. I avoid bread and sweets but when I go to a pot-luck or something I do try a few things I wouldn't normally eat.
HOW OFTEN DO YOU EAT PER DAY? protein shake for breakfast, salad with protein for lunch, mid-afternoon snack, supper (what family is having or cottage cheese), evening snack
DO YOU SNACK? ON WHAT? I'm afraid I do......mainly on low carb fudge bars, sometimes cheese.

HOW ARE YOU SLEEPING THIS MONTH? I guess I'm lucky, I haven't had too much trouble sleeping since the first month. Well when my hubby got home, he's a night owl and I'm not so on the weekends when he comes to bed, he wakes me up and then i'm back to sleep.
ARE YOU EXERCISING? YES!! I exercise about 5 times a week--or that is my goal.
WHAT TYPE OF EXERCISE ARE YOU DOING? I work out at the gym 3 times a week (eliptical machine and some weights). I play tennis 2 times a week
HOW IS YOUR HAIR LOSS? Oh, its falling out... tons of it but it isn't noticeable (knock on wood--yet) I hope it stops soon!
HOW IS YOUR WEIGHT LOSS (SINCE 4 MONTH ANNIVERSARY?) Well at 4 months I weighed 168 pounds and today I weigh 157. I guess that means I lost 11 pounds last month!
WHAT SIZE ARE YOU WEARING NOW? I can't believe it but I am wearing a size 12!! I started in a 22 and some 24s... now If I could lose some of my thighs...lol I would be in a 10--i've always been a hippy girl.
ARE YOU KEEPING UP WITH YOUR VITAMINS AND FLUID INTAKE? I keep up with it...meaning that I mark on my dry erase board each day how much protein, fluid, and whether or not I have taken my vitamins. I seem to have the hardes time remembering to take my second dose of vitamins...UGH! I am gettin better about gettin in my 64 oz of fluid but I don't always make it. My protein... I know it is supposed to be 60g but it is usually 45 to 50.... I gotta do better there too (maybe then my hair will stop falling out).
WHAT TYPE OF FOODS ARE YOU EATING NOW? I can eat pretty much anything... except ground beef... After a couple of bites it starts to hurt my pouch (and that isn't enough protein). Steak, chicken, salmon... all are wonderful on my pouchy though--go figure. I was told that the steak and chicken might not ever happen again but that ground beef would be easy for me to eat.
HOW OFTEN DO YOU EAT PER DAY? I try to eat 3 meals and one snack but sometimes its 2 meals and 1 snack

HOW ARE YOU SLEEPING THIS MONTH? I am sleeping great. I take Ambien and I sleep like a baby!!
ARE YOU EXERCISING? Yes, about once a week I go to Jazzercise, the rest of the week I walk.
WHAT TYPE OF EXERCISE ARE YOU DOING? I joined Jazzercise.. I don't go 3 times per week, but I do go and I walk.
HOW IS YOUR HAIR LOSS? I have not noticed any hair loss. (crossing my fingers!!) I have thin hair to begin with so I hope it doesnt start.
HOW IS YOUR WEIGHT LOSS (SINCE 4 MONTH ANNIVERSARY?) My weight loss have increased this month from last month. I have lost 75 lbs since surgery on 12-08-03
WHAT SIZE ARE YOU WEARING NOW? I am wearing a size 16. I was in size 24.
ARE YOU KEEPING UP WITH YOUR VITAMINS AND FLUID INTAKE? I am not very good with my vitamins, but when I think of it, I do use Liquid Centrum. I also do give myself a B12 shot monthly.
WHAT TYPE OF FOODS ARE YOU EATING NOW? I just started eating beef, but only once or twice. Other than that, I am eating fish, chicken, pork loin, cheese, beans, some vegatables and fruits.
HOW OFTEN DO YOU EAT PER DAY? Lunch and Dinner with a few snacks
DO YOU SNACK? ON WHAT? Yes, yogurt, nuts, popsicles.
HOW ARE YOU SLEEPING THIS MONTH? Not as well some nights. i get bouts of insomnia at 6:00 in the morning (which honestly may be my energized body saying "IT'S TIME TO GET UP" but I don't listen ) So as soon as the sun is bright and shiney and my kids are up... I'm ready to go to sleep. I'll have to work on that.
ARE YOU EXERCISING?I am exercizing, although I am not sure what I want to do when.
WHAT TYPE OF EXERCISE ARE YOU DOING?I keep saying I'm going to do weight training, but I haven'****er aerobics do offer cardio and resistence and I do the treadmill and bike still. i am getting lazy. I also have committed to taking our new puppy (YAY!!!!) to a nearby park with a lake every Sunday with two other post op friends to walk the lake.
HOW IS YOUR HAIR LOSS? I do believe it is slowing. I keep it up as much as possible so that my shedding isn't as noticable on my clothes and my furniture and in my car. i am seeing less when I bru**** but it's still coming out.
HOW IS YOUR WEIGHT LOSS (SINCE 4 MONTH ANNIVERSARY?) GRRRR! TWO pounds since April 12...... it's very discouraging
WHAT SIZE ARE YOU WEARING NOW? Still in a 22. I bought my 20's pair of jeans and i can get in them, I just can't zip them, so I am not there yet
ARE YOU KEEPING UP WITH YOUR VITAMINS AND FLUID INTAKE? I was bad for about 2 weeks and I got back on the wagon last week. I am trying to drink 32 oz of water before I even allow myself to eat, once I start eating I drink less.
WHAT TYPE OF FOODS ARE YOU EATING NOW? Pretty much anything I want. Meats and cheeses usually....still do a lot of string cheese. Added the light n fit yogurt and I am also eating fresh fruit now. I had a bad week with my daughters b-day and her leftovers (I cooked Mexican food... ALL carbalicious!!!) and then another BBQ with bad options (LIKE gaucamole and chips... lots of them!!!)
HOW OFTEN DO YOU EAT PER DAY? 3-5 times
DO YOU SNACK? ON WHAT?not usually... I consider string cheese a snack and have that once every day or two. I still have my ritz crackers, but I switched to whole wheat or whole grain or whatever and I am trying to not have them EVERY day anymore....

Hi Tracy and All You Decemberites!
HOW ARE YOU SLEEPING THIS MONTH? Usually very well, except for an occasional night (last night, as a matter of fact) when I find myself up until all hours reading or surfing the web. The last time I checked the clock last night was 3 am, boy did I pay for it when the alarm went off at 5.
ARE YOU EXERCISING? I work with a personal trainer once a week doing cardio for half an hour and an hour of weight training. Then she gives me assignments for the rest of the week, usually 2-3 more sessions of cardio (walk 2 mins, run 2 mins on the treadmill this week). Having the trainer really keeps me accountable. I also ride my horse 5-6 days a week, usually 30-60 minutes of mostly trotting. (Which burns around 400 calories per hour for the rider, not sure how many for the horse.)
HOW IS YOUR HAIR LOSS? I've lost a little from falling out, and a WHOLE LOT from cutting off about 10 inches and going short for the first time in years. I love it!
HOW IS YOUR WEIGHT LOSS (SINCE 4 MONTH ANNIVERSARY?) I was really slow around then, but have gotten back to about 3 pounds a week again.
WHAT SIZE ARE YOU WEARING NOW? My most recent new jeans are 16s, but if you mean right now, the skirt is a 20 with safety pins, and the blouse is an old 24 that I still love even though it is now loose and flowing.
ARE YOU KEEPING UP WITH YOUR VITAMINS AND FLUID INTAKE? That reminds me, I need to get out another bottle of water. I'm doing pretty well overall with both viramins and fluids, but did have a period there when I kept forgetting to take my vitamins.
WHAT TYPE OF FOODS ARE YOU EATING NOW? I've been very lucky that nothing has bothered me, and I have been eating whatever I want - protein first and in small portions.
HOW OFTEN DO YOU EAT PER DAY? My surgeon wants me to eat 3 meals and 3 snacks per day, but I usually fall asleep before I get around to that evening snack.
DO YOU SNACK? ON WHAT? I snack because I'm supposed to, but there are times when I skip them because I'm either not hungry or just don't feel like eating. My favorite snack is Stacy's Soy Thin Crisps. 110 calories, 2g of fat and 7.5g of protein, and they taste fantastic!
Great questions! Makes me think about what I've been doing.
