Q.O.D 5/4
I expected to dump like alot of you and thats right, you guessed it.... I DO NOT DUMP!!
I can tell you I was never one to really do too much activity unless you count shopping as exercise but I surely did not expect to really enjoy exercise like I do now. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a freak and love to wake up and get to it. I'm one of those that has to drag myself to the gym but once I'm there...I keep pushing myself to complete my goals. Once I have done my 3 miles for the day or whatever the goal is... I feel FABULOUS!!

I am so glad you asked these questions and I really thought it was going to be harder to eat in the beginning. I dumped once with Peanut Butter and haven't tried it again. I do still throw up but I think that is from eating to fast or not chewing my food well enough.
I honestly am amazed at how the weight is coming off. I find myself comparing myself to others and know this is not a good idea. I love the feeling of pulling out the old clothes and finding they fit again!!!
Unfortunately or fortunately (depends on the day) I don't dump either! I asked me surgeon if there was a way he could make sure I did dump as sugar has always been my biggest problem in life!
Unfortunately a friend bought me some chocolate from England but fortunately I was able to eat a bit before I gave it all away
I NEVER expected to have so little appetite, and I certainly never expected to have so little carb craving. At least for now. This has been a very pleasant surprise, indeed.
I went into this with my eyes wide open, watched my sister have her surgery 6 months before mine, researched the whole process endlessly, and STILL did not understand that I would have to work THIS HARD to lose a pound. Yes, it is easier when you think in terms of time, but some days it seems I work WAY too hard for the return. But then, I drop a size and I wonder how it's happening so quickly! Go figure. I still would do it again in a heartbeat!

What is one thing post-op that you expected and didn't find?
I figured I would have issues with the bathroom but have found that I am just as regular as ever & fortunately don't have to run to the bathroom either.
What is one thing you didn't expect and did?
I didn't expect to be lactose intolerant (my dairy farmer husband is so embarrased!) I also didn't expect to have problems with foods that we are alllowed to eat. I want to eat meat so badly but my pouch says "NO!"

Hello!
What is one thing post-op that you expected and didn't find, and what is one thing you didn't expect and did?
I don't dump either, I guess would be my response. Of course I don't really test the limit either, I still have not had anything sweet! I'm affraid of sugar!
I didn't expect t have to diet so hard and be as weight obcessed if not moreso than I was before. I thought they weight would come off much faster and easier. I guess it does for some, just not me. :o(

P.S. Plus I had another one of those BLOCKAGE things that I had last month, today. I had the last one, the first tuesday of the month, I had this one the first tuesday of the month! Hmmmmm! Didn't expect those either! STILL have not heard from the surgeons office about the x-rays from the last one! Good doctor! UGH!
What is one thing post-op that you expected and didn't find, and what is one thing you didn't expect and did?
I expected to be in alot of pain from surgery and I wasn't I had open bypass and was out in 3 days and doing great.
I didn't really expect to lose as much as I did so fast, but now I am greedy and want to keep losing it this fast.
As for dumping I really have only done it twice after eating something I guess that had to much sugar in it.
