3 more days until Phil comes home
My son had surgery in Dec last year. He has been at college since 3 weeks out from it. I haven't seen him. He hasn't told me his weight either. He wants to surprise us all. He said it is a lot. I look at your message board to stay connected with him and you Dec. people. I'll keep you posted on our shock and his loss. He was on 6 BP meds and now only needs one of them. I am soooooo excited to see him. Karen
Jackie, I will fill you in on our great reunion. When we sent him off for the fist time we were hugging at the airport and it was obvious that we were sending a boy off to college for the first time. After he left a man turned to us and said, "I bet your food bill will go down." We laughed. I know he didn't mean it to be mean. Well, now people won't be able to say that. Karen
That is going to be sooo awesome! Did he do ok being away from family and folks that understand what is going on??
I can't imagine there are a lot of folks in college that can understand or have been thru what he is going thru at this time.
Hopefully he found a good support group online/phone.
Can't wait to hear how he is doing and I bet he is down 100 lbs! Those men are sooo lucky
Shannon, He did better than I did having him away. We talk almost every day. I keep him posted on things from this web page. The college is in Pensacola, FL and I am in CA. He doesn't know anyone else there who has had this surgery. My guess is 100 pounds too. Many people have stopped him and said they noticed his weight loss. They asked him what he was doing. He told them he had the surgery. The biggest problem he had was clothes. He doesn't like to shop but finally he felt like a clown, so he had to. Thanks for the encouragement. Only 2 more days. Yippee!! Karen
